Historic Milestone: Bagmati Province Pioneers Protection Policy against Human Trafficking and Transportation 2080!!!🙏
बागमती प्रदेश स्तरीय मानव बेचबिखन तथा ओसारपसार विरुद्धको संरक्षण नीति २०८० पास भएको छ ।
In a groundbreaking move, the Office of the Chief Minister & Council of Ministers, Bagmati Province (OCMCM), has successfully passed the Protection Policy against Human Trafficking and Transportation 2080, making Bagmati the first province in the nation to implement such a comprehensive measure. This milestone not only establishes Bagmati Province as a leader in combating trafficking in persons but also marks the first instance of a province-level policy dedicated to addressing this critical issue.
The momentous decision was announced during a discussion meeting held in Hetauda, Makwanpur, organized by the Ministry of Social Development, Bagmati Province, in collaboration with the Shanti Foundation. The meeting provided a platform to share updates on the newly passed Protection Policy against Human Trafficking and Transportation 2080.
The honorable Minister of Social Development, addressing the gathering, expressed immense pride in achieving this historical milestone. She expressed the ministry's gratitude for the collaborative efforts of the Shanti Foundation from advocacy to policy development, as well as the invaluable guidance provided by the Secretary of the Ministry of Social Development. The minister emphasized the importance of localizing the policy through the development of a strategic plan of action.

The newly passed Protection Policy against Human Trafficking and Transportation 2080 is poised to become a blueprint for comprehensive and effective measures against this heinous crime.
मुख्यमन्त्री तथा मन्त्रिपरिषद्को कार्यालय बागमती प्रदेशले मानव बेचबिखन तथा ओसारपसार विरुद्धको संरक्षण नीति २०८० सफलतापूर्वक पारित गरेको छ र यस प्रकारको मानव बेचबिखन विरुद्ध लड्न उदाहरणीय प्रदेशस्तरीय नीति बनाई नेतृत्वको रूपमा स्थापित हुने बागमती प्रदेश देशकै पहिलो प्रदेश बनेको छ । बागमती प्रदेशको सामाजिक विकास मन्त्रालयले शान्ति फाउण्डेशनको सहकार्यमा मकवानपुरको हेटौंडामा गरेको छलफल बैठकमा उक्त महत्वपूर्ण निर्णय सार्वजनिक गरेको हो ।
कार्यक्रममा बोल्दै माननीय मन्त्रीज्युले बागमती प्रदेश स्तरीय मुख्यमन्त्री तथा मन्त्रिपरिषद्को कार्यालयबाट नीति पास भएर आएको छ, यो हामी सबैको लागी खुशीको कुरा हो । यो नीति बनाउनुको लागी सुरुदेखि अहिले सम्म निरन्तर योगदान पुराउनु हुने शान्ति फाउण्डेशन संस्था लगायत सामाजिक विकास मन्त्रालयको सचिव ज्यु सम्पूर्ण कर्मचारीज्युहरु संघसंस्थाहरु सबैलाई धन्यवाद दिदै यस नीतिलाई स्थानीय तहसम्म पुराएर कार्यन्वयनमा ल्याउनु पर्छ भन्नु भयो ।
