🌿 DGM Nepal Project Implementation Review & Retreat Successfully Completed

The DGM Nepal Project Review and Retreat Program was successfully concluded with the active participation of all National Steering Committees member organisations alongside key project stakeholders; including REDD IC undersecretary and implementation partners.

The retreat served as an important platform for collective reflection on project progress, achievements, and challenges, while also strengthening coordination and strategic alignment for the next phase of implementation.

All NSC member organizations were present and actively engaged in discussions on project performance review, thematic achievements, financial and operational progress, and future planning priorities. The sessions also included in-depth reflections on strengthening IPLC engagement, climate finance access, safeguards compliance, and inclusive forest governance under the DGM Nepal framework.

Key activities included:

* Comprehensive project performance review
* Strategic reflection and learning sessions
* Thematic group discussions on climate action and IPLC empowerment
* Forward-looking planning for improved implementation effectiveness

The retreat reaffirmed strong collaboration among NSC members and partners in advancing inclusive, transparent, and community-driven climate action in Nepal.🌱

यस परियोजनाको प्रतिस्पर्धात्मक अनुदानका लागि केवल आदिवासी जनजाति (Indigenous Peoples) का संस्था/संगठन मात्र योग्य मानिनेछ। सम्बन्धित संस्था/संगठनहरु मधेश र लुम्बिनी प्रदेशका जिल्लाहरुमा तथा डीजीएम नेपाल परियोजनाले तोकेको पालिकाहरुमा कानूनी रुपमा दर्ता भएका हुनुपर्नेछ।

यो सहयोगी पुस्तिका के हो?
कार्बन बजार एउटा यस्तो प्रणाली हो जहाँ जलवायु परिवर्तन रोक्नका लागि "कार्बन क्रेडिट" को व्यापार गरिन्छ। यसबाट समुदायमा पैसा त आउन सक्छ, तर जग्गा खोसिने वा अन्याय हुने जोखिम पनि हुन्छ। यो पुस्तिकाले समुदायलाई आफ्नो अधिकार बुझ्न र परियोजनामा समान साझेदार बन्न मद्दत गर्छ।
मुख्य विषयहरू (मोड्युलहरू):
१. कार्बन बजारको परिचय:
प्रदूषणका कारण पृथ्वी तातिरहेको छ (जलवायु परिवर्तन)। वनजङ्गलले यो प्रदूषण सोसेर लिन मद्दत गर्छन्। एक टन प्रदूषण रोक्नु भनेको एक "कार्बन क्रेडिट" हो। ठूला कम्पनीहरूले आफ्नो प्रदूषणको क्षतिपूर्तिका लागि यी क्रेडिटहरू किन्छन्।
२. प्रभावकारी सहभागिता (FPIC):
समुदायसँग स्वतन्त्र, अग्रिम र सूचित मञ्जुरी (FPIC) को अधिकार हुन्छ:
स्वतन्त्र: कसैको दबाब वा लोभमा नपरी निर्णय गर्न पाउने।
अग्रिम: परियोजना सुरु हुनुभन्दा अगाडि नै अनुमति लिनुपर्ने।
सूचित: परियोजनाको बारेमा सबै जानकारी आफ्नै भाषामा पाउनुपर्ने।
मञ्जुरी: चित्त नबुझेमा "हुँदैन" भन्न पाउने अधिकार।
३. लाभ-बाँडफाँड (Benefit-Sharing):
यदि परियोजनाबाट आम्दानी हुन्छ भने, त्यो पैसा न्यायोचित रूपमा बाँडिनुपर्छ। लाभ दुई प्रकारका हुन सक्छन्: नगद (पैसा) वा गैर-नगद (जग्गाको अधिकार, तालिम, वा सामुदायिक भवन)। यो प्रक्रिया पारदर्शी हुनुपर्छ।
४. गुनासो सुनुवाइ संयन्त्र (Grievance Redress):
यदि केही गल्ती भयो वा चित्त बुझेन भने उजुरी गर्ने स्पष्ट बाटो हुनुपर्छ। यो प्रणाली स्वतन्त्र, प्रयोग गर्न सजिलो र स्थानीय परम्परालाई सम्मान गर्ने खालको हुनुपर्छ। आवाज उठाएकै भरमा कसैलाई सजाय हुनुहुँदैन।
५. जग्गाको हकभोग (Land Tenure):
जग्गामा बलियो अधिकार हुनु सबैभन्दा महत्त्वपूर्ण कुरा हो। सरकारी कागजपत्र नभए पनि वर्षौंदेखि त्यहाँ बस्ने र वन जोगाउने समुदायको हकलाई परियोजनाले स्वीकार गर्नुपर्छ। वन जोगाउनेले नै कार्बनबाट हुने फाइदा पाउनुपर्छ।
६. लैङ्गिक समानता:
महिलाहरूले वनको धेरै काम गरे पनि प्रायः बैठक र निर्णयहरूमा उनीहरूलाई छुटाइन्छ। महिलाहरूलाई पनि निर्णय प्रक्रियामा सहभागी गराउनुपर्छ र उनीहरूले पनि लाभको उचित हिस्सा पाउनुपर्छ।
