NEPAL FLOODS: STAY SAFE, STAY INFORMED and STAND TOGETHER
As Youth of LP4Y Nepal - TDC, we stand with the communities and families affected by the recent flooding in Nepal.
At a time when information is spreading quickly, we believe that responsible information can also save lives. Our message is simple: stay informed, follow official guidance, and help one another.
IF YOU ARE IN A FLOOD-RISK AREA
a. Move to safer and higher ground when authorities advise evacuation
b. Stay away from rivers, riverbanks, bridges and areas at risk of flooding or landslides.
c. Never walk, swim or drive through moving floodwater.
d. Follow instructions from local authorities, security agencies and emergency responders.
e. Keep your phone charged and stay connected to official alerts.
f. If you are safe, check on children, older people, persons with disabilities and others who may need additional support
g. Do not return to an affected area until authorities confirm that it is safe.
h. Do not share unverified news, casualty numbers, missing-person lists, photographs, videos or fundraising requests. Verify before you share.
IMPORTANT EMERGENCY NUMBERS
a. Nepal Police: 100
b. Ambulance Nepal: 102

FOR HEALTH & MEDICAL SUPPORT
During and after flooding, health risks can increase because of injuries, unsafe water, sanitation problems and disruption of health services.
If you or someone around you needs health-related information or assistance, call 1115. For an ambulance, call 102. The Health Emergency Operation Center works as a key coordination platform for Nepal's health emergency and disaster response.
Let's be responsible everyone
We may not be able to solve everything, but we can do something important:
✔ Share verified information
✔ Help people find the right emergency services
✔ Check on people around us
✔ Support vulnerable members of our communities
✔ Avoid rumours and misinformation
✔ Follow official instructions
✔ Use our voices to spread awareness, not fear
In times of disaster, being informed, responsible and compassionate is also a way of helping.
From the Youth of LP4Y Nepal TDC,
we send our solidarity to everyone affected and our deepest respect to those working in rescue, emergency response, healthcare and relief.
Stay safe. Stay informed. Stand together. ❤
Please verify emergency information through official government sources before sharing, as numbers, warnings and response information may change during an ongoing disaster.
