On Friday, June 12, we were delighted to host a welcome dinner for the 30th graduating batch of Namgyal Secondary School. It with deep sorrow that we share this condolence for the passing of Late Chope Paljor Tsering la. With his passing away, we have lost a kind soul who has dedicated majority of his life to serving the Tibetan community.

In the late 80s when the Tibetan children required a distinct high school to accomdate their higher educational needs, visionary like Chope la, worked hard to realize that dream into reality. He worked closely with other institutions to help build the school we call our alma mater, Namgyal Secondary School. This was all accomplished while he served honorably as representative of Tibetan community in Nepal (Dhonchoe). He was also a former Kalon.

Late Chophe la is remembered as a dedicated, determined and hardworking leader who helped build an institution that has served the educational needs of thousands of Tibetan and Himalayan students. NGAA feels privileged to have hosted him few years ago, where we had the honor of listening to his vision and the immense dedication required to bring it to reality.

His remarkable life's journey will forever be remembered by his family, friends, community and everyone whose life he has touched. NGAA family extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved family members at this difficult time. We offer prayers for the departed soul's swift transition to next life.
