As part of our Researcher Highlight Series, we are proud to celebrate the inspiring individuals whose work is shaping the future of the water sector.

🌊 Researcher Spotlight: Dewasish Dahal
Dewasish is a Water Resources Engineer at Maurer-Stutz, Inc., where he works on hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, dam safety, stormwater infrastructure, and GIS applications. His research interests include flood risk, green infrastructure, machine learning in hydrology, and climate change, and his contributions have been published in several leading journals.

Just a year ago, Dewasis was one of our valued member. Today, it is wonderful to see him as the Academic and Research Coordinator on the new Steering Committee of the International Water Association Young Water Professionals.

Watching members of our community grow, lead, and create impact is what IWA YWP Nepal is all about. We are grateful for Dewasish's dedication and excited to see all that he will accomplish in the years ahead.

🌊 Researcher Spotlight: Saroj Sedai
Saroj is currently pursuing an MSc in Water Resources Engineering and Management at the University of Moratuwa under the SAF-Madanjeet Singh Fellowship. His research focuses on hydrological modeling, assessing the impacts of climate change, and advancing sustainable water management strategies in South Asia. In addition, he has contributed to hydropower feasibility assessments and water availability studies, gaining practical experience in evaluating and managing water resources for energy
