On the auspicious occasion of International Wushu Taijiquan Day 2026, we would like to extend our warmest wishes for peace, prosperity and well-being to all living beings around the world.
Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese martial art and is not just a form of exercise, but an important part of a healthy lifestyle. It helps maintain balance between body, mind and spirit, thereby improving the overall quality of life.
Nepal Wushu Federation organized a Tai Chi demonstration program in the sacred birthplace of Lord Buddha and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Lumbini. The demonstration was successfully conducted following this year’s main theme, “Fit for Life, Go for Tai Chi”.
Tai Chi and peace are closely linked and can be considered synonymous in many ways. Therefore, from Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha, an important center for religious tourism and a symbol of peace, we would like to convey the message of the importance of Tai Chi in promoting harmony, balance, and inner peace in human life.
