“मेरो घरअगाडिको ३ किलोमिटर सडक १० वर्षदेखि निर्माणाधीन छ, अझै कहिले पूरा होला?”
“मेरो पालिकाको आम्दानीका मुख्य स्रोत के हुन्?” “हामीले तिरेको करबाट बनेको हाम्रो स्थानीय बजेट कहाँ, कसरी र कुन–कुन क्षेत्रमा खर्च भइरहेको छ?”
“हामीले तिरेको करबाट सञ्चालन हुने पालिकाका जनप्रतिनिधिहरूलाई कसरी जवाफदेही बनाउन सक्छौँ?”
“नेतृत्वलाई उत्तरदायी बनाउन युवाहरूले के कस्ता सकारात्मक भूमिका खेल्न सक्छन्?”

यी केवल प्रश्नहरू होइनन्; यी हाम्रा दैनिक जीवन र स्थानीय शासनसँग जोडिएका महत्वपूर्ण सवालहरू हुन्।

यिनै विषयमा केन्द्रित भएर जुलाई ४–५ मा उज्वल थापा फाउन्डेसनले इटहरी, सुनसरीमा Capacity building and agenda Identification Workshop आयोजना गरेको थियो। कार्यशालामा कोशी र मधेश प्रदेशका १८ जना युवाहरू सहभागी थिए, जहाँ उनीहरूले स्थानीय सरकार, सार्वजनिक जवाफदेहिता, नेतृत्व र युवाको नागरिक भूमिकाबारे आफ्ना प्रश्न, अनुभव र विचारहरू साझा गरे।

परिवर्तन प्रश्नबाट सुरु हुन्छ। तर प्रश्न उठाएर मात्र पुग्दैन, जवाफ खोज्ने, संवाद गर्ने, निगरानी गर्ने र आवश्यक ठाउँमा रचनात्मक हस्तक्षेप गर्ने साहस पनि आवश्यक हुन्छ।

देशका विभिन्न क्षेत्रमा यस्ता कार्यशालामार्फत युवाहरूलाई नेतृत्व र नागरिक सहभागिताका विषयमा जोड्ने प्रयास उज्वल थापा फाउन्डेसनले निरन्तर गरिरहेको छ।

जवाफदेही नेतृत्व र बलियो लोकतन्त्रका लागि युवाहरू प्रश्न गरौँ, संवाद गरौँ र सकारात्मक हस्तक्षेप गरौँ।

As part of the "Intergenerational Civil Society Engagement for Fiscal Transparency and Accountability project, the third installment of the "Capacity Building and Agenda Identification Workshop" was successfully conducted in Dhulikhel, Kavre, from 7–9 August 2026.

The three-day workshop brought together 22 youth and civil society representatives from across Bagmati Province to strengthen their understanding of fiscal transparency, public budgeting, accountability mechanisms, audit oversight, and the use of the Right to Information (RTI) as a tool for promoting accountability.

The workshop also provided a platform for participants to identify key fiscal transparency priorities and explore practical avenues for civic engagement and action at the local level.

Together, we continue to strengthen informed, engaged, and accountable communities for greater transparency in public finance and governance.

"अन्तरपुस्तीय नागरिक समाजको वित्तीय पारदर्शिता तथा जवाफदेहिताका लागि सहभागिता" परियोजनाअन्तर्गत क्षमता अभिवृद्धि तथा एजेन्डा पहिचान कार्यशालाको तेस्रो संस्करण २०२६ अगस्ट ७ देखि ९ सम्म काभ्रेको धुलिखेलमा सफलतापूर्वक सम्पन्न भएको छ।

तीनदिने कार्यशालामा बागमती प्रदेशका विभिन्न स्थानबाट २२ जना युवा तथा नागरिक समाजका प्रतिनिधिहरूको सहभागिता रहेको थियो। कार्यशालाको मुख्य उद्देश्य वित्तीय पारदर्शिता, सार्वजनिक बजेट, जवाफदेहिताका संयन्त्र, लेखापरीक्षण तथा निगरानी, साथै सूचनाको हक (RTI) लाई जवाफदेहिता प्रवर्द्धन गर्ने प्रभावकारी औजारका रूपमा प्रयोग गर्ने विषयमा सहभागीहरूको ज्ञान तथा क्षमता अभिवृद्धि गर्नु थियो।

कार्यशालाले सहभागीहरूलाई वित्तीय पारदर्शिताका प्रमुख प्राथमिकताहरू पहिचान गर्न तथा स्थानीय तहमा नागरिक सहभागिता र व्यावहारिक नागरिक पहलका अवसरहरू खोजी गर्न समेत महत्वपूर्ण मञ्च प्रदान गर्‍यो।

सार्वजनिक वित्त तथा सुशासनमा थप पारदर्शिता, नागरिक सहभागिता र जवाफदेहिता सुनिश्चित गर्न जानकार, सक्रिय र जवाफदेही समुदाय निर्माण गर्ने हाम्रो प्रयास निरन्तर जारी छ।
