🎉 ✨ Happy Nepali New Year 2083! 🇳🇵💛

In Nepal, we welcome the New Year based on the Bikram Samvat calendar, and today marks the beginning of 2083 — a time for new beginnings and fresh energy.

Over the past year, our Atoot girls have grown stronger every day — on the field ⚽, in learning spaces 📚, and within themselves. From teamwork and laughter to facing challenges together, each moment has shaped their journey. 🌼💪🏾

As we step into 2083, we carry this strength forward — ready for new learnings, new opportunities, and everything that lies ahead.

Here’s to another year of growing, learning, and building together. 🌈 ✨

Wishing everyone a joyful and hopeful New Year! 💛

⚽ International Day of Sport for Development and Peace 2026 🌍

This year’s theme, “Sport: Building Bridges, Breaking Barriers,” reflects what we see every day at Atoot. For many girls, the barriers start early — where they can go, how they should behave, and what they are allowed to dream.

At Atoot, sport becomes a way to challenge this. On the football field, girls take up space, raise their voices, make decisions, and lead. What is often restricted off the field begins to shift on it.

Each game, each practice, each moment of stepping forward is an act of breaking barriers — not just in sport, but in how girls see themselves and their place in the world.

At the same time, sport builds bridges — between girls, across communities, and beyond borders — creating connection, solidarity, and shared strength.

This is the power of sport. Not just to play, but to question, to challenge, and to change.

Today, we celebrate the power of sport to connect, to empower, to break barriers, to build bridges and to create possibilities for every girl. 💛

🌾 Wheat cutting season is here in Nepal.

Every day, Atoot girls are heading to the farm fields, helping their families harvest the wheat that sustains their homes. This is not just a routine—it is their reality, their responsibility, and their way of life.

With the season in full swing, the girls asked for a 10-day break from sessions, and Atoot gladly agreed. Because we understand that for a majority of them, farming is not a choice, but the only source of food and survival.

Despite their young age, they carry heavy bundles of wheat on their shoulders. The work is hard, the days are long—but you will rarely hear complaints. Instead, you will see smiles, laughter, and quiet strength as they work side by side with their families.
Their resilience, care, and dedication remind us of the strength rooted in these communities.

Wishing safety, strength, and a good harvest to all 🌿

🟠 Tiny Heads, Big Focus! 🙌🏾

Our U-7 girls took on a fun relay challenge — balancing cones on their heads as they walked towards their teammates.

There were plenty of wobbles (and lots of laughter!), but with practice, they found their balance and kept going.

Through a simple game, the girls built focus, patience, and confidence — while cheering each other on every step of the way. 💛

🌎

We’re proud to join ’ — a global initiative that brings the power of football behind the Sustainable Development Goals ( ).

The SDGs lay out a shared vision for a more equal and sustainable world — from ending poverty to advancing gender equality and expanding opportunities for all.

At Atoot, this work is already at the heart of what we do. Through football and education, we create safe spaces where girls can learn, lead, and build confidence — contributing directly to goals around gender equality, quality education, and well-being.

Being part of connects us to a wider community using sport as a force for change. It’s an opportunity to learn, collaborate, and strengthen our commitment to creating lasting impact for girls and their communities.

We’re excited to be part of this global movement — and to keep working towards a future where every girl has the chance to thrive. ⚽💛

👟 Mahima’s Fight for Fairness

"I used to be stopped and questioned for things my brother was freely given—money, snacks, small freedoms. He always got more; I always got less. Now, because of Atoot, I speak up and stand up for myself. I fight for what I need - like my shoes - and I get it."
— Mahima, 12 years old 🧡

In Mahima’s home, like in many others, small everyday decisions reveal deeper inequalities. Her brother could take rice from home, sell it, and spend the money without being questioned. When Mahima tried to do the same, she was stopped, questioned, and often denied.
Even when she was included, she received less.

These are the quiet ways girls learn that their needs come second — that their choices carry less weight.

Today, Mahima is changing that. She asks. She insists. She pushes back. Whether it’s money for shoes or the freedom to make small decisions, she is learning to claim space for herself within her own home. 🏡

Through Atoot, she hasn’t just found her voice — she’s using it.

And that shift, in everyday moments like these, is where real change begins. 🙌🏾

🌟 Solidarity Cup 2026 ⚽💛

After weeks of preparation, Atoot hosted its very first Solidarity Cup — and for many of our girls, it was their first experience playing in a structured tournament.

The day was part of our under the , in collaboration with , , and through the – Play for Life initiative — connecting girls across countries through sport.

From the first whistle to the final match, the field was full of energy. The girls played with confidence, supported one another, and showed what teamwork really looks like.

We were also joined by the local school principal, and local government representatives — making it a proud community moment for everyone involved.

Alongside winner and runner-up trophies, we celebrated what truly matters — with awards for Spirit, Best Cheer, Highest Scorer, and Best Goalkeeper. And at the end of the day, every girl received a medal — because every effort, every moment of courage, and every step onto the field counts.

It was more than a tournament. It was a day of joy, learning, and girls stepping into their strength — together.

🌱 Growing Into Leaders ✏️

At Atoot, growth comes full circle. Recently, one of our U-15 Atoot girls stepped into the role of a teacher, taking a Nepali alphabet class for our U-7 girls.

She came well prepared, understanding that young children learn best through creativity and movement. Using drawing and fun actions, she made the class lively and engaging, helping the girls connect letters with what they love to do. 🎨✨

What stood out the most was her patience and care. She took time to individually support each girl who needed extra help, making sure no one was left behind. 💛

Moments like this show how much our girls are learning—not just academically, but in confidence, leadership, and empathy. 🌟

🌟 From Chungi to Football Skills! ⚽

At Atoot, football practice is not only about playing matches, but it’s also about learning new skills. One of the skills our girls are practicing is juggling, which helps them improve their balance, coordination, and ball control.

To make practice even more fun, the girls sometimes play a traditional game called Chungi. Chungi is made by tying colorful rubber bands together, and the girls juggle it with their feet, just like a football. It’s a playful way to build the same skills they use on the field.

What starts as a small game with rubber bands becomes great practice for controlling the ball during football. Through simple games like this, the girls are learning, laughing, and growing stronger every day.🌟💪
