📢 EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI)
Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Emergency Relief, Disaster Risk Reduction & Climate Change
Human Relief Organization (HRO) Nepal, with the support of Helping Hand for Relief and Development (HHRD) USA/Nepal, invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from qualified and experienced professionals to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
The selected expert will design and facilitate a specialized Emergency Relief and Disaster Management (ERDM) training programme, with a strong focus on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), Climate Change Adaptation (CCA), and Climate Change Mitigation.

Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Key Responsibilities
• Design and deliver high-quality ERDM training sessions.
• Facilitate capacity-building programmes on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR).
• Integrate Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) and Mitigation concepts into the training curriculum.
• Provide technical guidance and practical recommendations for disaster preparedness, emergency response, and resilience building.
• Prepare training materials, reports, and related documentation.
Required Qualifications
• Master's Degree (M.Sc. in Environmental Science, Botany, M.A. in Sociology, or another relevant discipline).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in research, training, or programme implementation related to Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR).
• Minimum 5 years of university teaching experience and/or experience as a professional trainer in DRR, Emergency Management, or Climate Change.
• Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
