An interaction program on “The Role of Provincial and Local Levels in Implementing the National Strategy and Action Plan to End Child Marriage (2082)” was successfully conducted today at Janakpurdham in the presence of Honorable Minister of Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives Madhesh Province Mr. Shyam Patel, high-level government officials, security representatives, local governments, and child rights stakeholders. The discussion focused on strengthening coordination, policy implementation, and collective commitment to end child marriage and protect children’s rights in Nepal.

2 days of Workshop on Child Rights, its policy, procedures, implementation, and the status of local government, along with a focused campaign to stop child marriage, successfully completed 27th and 28th April 2026 at Hotel Tarai Inn, Chandrapur, Rautahat.
The workshop was conducted in the presence of the Deputy Mayor and Mahila Tatha Balbalika Shakha Pramukh, with active participation from representatives of local governments.
The discussion emphasized strengthening local mechanisms, effective implementation of child rights policies, and collective efforts to end child marriage also participants pledge and made commitments to stop child marriages in thier respective Palikas.
