Today, LIFE Nepal honored International Women’s Day by amplifying the voices of our adolescent girls and mother parents. We hosted a powerful documentary screening to spark vital conversations on ending child and eloped marriage, ensuring our girls’ stories are heard.

We balanced the serious talk with a fun game of “Haandi Phutaai,” celebrating the strength and spirit of our community.

Together, we are breaking barriers and building a brighter future of girls and women.

A Journey of 14 Years: Reflecting, Reviewing, and Re-committing ! 🌟
Today marks a milestone in our journey. More than just a celebration, our 14th Anniversary was a moment to look back at over a decade of dedication to the people of Madhesh Province, Nepal.
From empowering women and adolescent girls to supporting children, youth, and persons with disabilities, our mission has always been about dignity and sustainable livelihoods. We were privileged to share this moment with our Chief Guest, Ms. Nirmala Mishra from the Ministry of Sports & Social Welfare, Madhesh Province, and our Chairperson, Mr. Surait Thakur.
Our journey reminds us that while we have achieved much, our mission continues with even greater resolve.

Cultivating Change: Enhancing Incomes for Women in Agriculture! 🌿
Through the Empower Women Prosperous Nepal (EWPN) programme, LIFE Nepal is proud to support women farmers from Dalit and marginalized communities. These resilient women, who are also child grant recipients, recently completed specialized training in seasonal and off-season vegetable farming.

By providing climate-adaptive seeds and essential equipment, we aren't just giving tools—we are opening doors to income-generation and sustainable livelihoods. Together, we are growing a more prosperous future !

Justice doesn’t wait for a phone call or a complaint.

LIFE Nepal, in collaboration with the District Police Office, Dhanusha, successfully conducted a Police Suo Moto intervention to stop child marriage. By taking action on their own initiative, the authorities protected a child rights without waiting for a formal complaint.

Making Child Marriage Free Mithila Bihari Municipality !

LIFE Nepal successfully hosted the Palika-level Girls Summit in Dhanusha, marking a major milestone in our mission to declare the municipality a child-marriage-free zone. Driven by the incredible leadership of Girls Champions, this event proved that adolescent girl voices are the key to community transformation.
A special thanks to Mayor Mr. Rajendra Prasad Yadav, Deputy Mayor Mrs. Shobha Devi Sah and CAO Mr. Upendra Neupane for their visionary commitment and for officially signing the Palika Declaration Letter.

Milestone Achievement in Madhesh Province !
We are proud to share the successful handover of the draft Social Protection Strategic Plan to the Madhesh Province Government. This significant milestone was achieved through the Empowered Women Prosperous Nepal (EWPN) program and made possible by the generous support of the European Union and the United Nations (UNICEF). This achievement is a true testament to the power of collaboration. We extend our sincere gratitude to the Ministry of Sports and Social Welfare (Madhesh Province), SPCSN, and representatives from all ministries for their invaluable contributions and participation.

Together, we are working actively toward the finalization and endorsement of this plan to ensure a more secure and inclusive future for all.

Education First, Marriage Later !
In a powerful stand for change, LIFE Nepal, in close coordination with Saraswati Ma. Vi. Thilla, organized a vibrant Child Marriage Prevention Rally in Sabaila. Led by a courageous group of adolescent girls and boys, the procession moved through local villages with the energetic beat of Band Baja and the resounding slogan "Bal Biwah Zindagi Tawah" (Child Marriage Ruins Life). By championing the message that education must always come before marriage, these adolescent advocates are challenging harmful norms and proving that child marriage is a crime that limits a child's future. Together, we are raising our voices to end child marriage.

This compelling piece tackled critical social issues, highlighting the devastating effects of Child Marriage, Elopement, Dowry, and Discrimination. We proudly celebrate our young leaders for using their platform to advocate for equality and spark crucial community conversation.

Huge step for inclusion ! LIFE Nepal has successfully strengthened local support for Persons with Disabilities by conducting a critical Orientation on the Disability Screening App for Local Governments Officers through the EWPN( Empower Women Prosperous Nepal). This session boosted officials' capacity in digital screening, ensuring accurate data entry and paving the way for a more timely and transparent distribution of disability ID cards. This move is a fostering an inclusive and efficient service delivery system right at the local level !

🌟 Climate Smart Zone in Madhesh Province! 🌿💧

LIFE Nepal, supported by Australian Aid and CBM Global, is thrilled to announce the establishment of the Climate Smart Zone in Janakpur, Dhanusha district, Madhesh Province!

This vibrant, inclusive learning hub promotes sustainable and climate-resilient farming. The zone features state-of-the-art tunnel houses, efficient drip irrigation, mulching, and promotes natural methods like Azolla organic fertilizer to boost yields and reduce chemicals. Crucially, the platform is built for everyone, with fully accessible, inclusive infrastructure and learning materials for Persons with Disabilities.

Come and learn through our demonstration areas, training facilities, and interactive programs! Together, let's cultivate a greener, smarter, and more inclusive future!
