Celebrating International Women’s Day 2026 in Siraha!

Today, March 8, we gathered at Siraha Municipality-6 and 14 to mark the 116th International Working Women's Day. Under the theme "Right, Justice, and Action: For All Women & Girls," we reaffirmed our commitment to ensuring that every woman and girl has access to the justice and fundamental rights they deserve.
It was a truly inclusive and heartening day. We were honored to have the active participation of community members, local stakeholders, and persons with disabilities (PWD), ensuring that the call for "Right and Justice" resonates with everyone in our society.
This event was part of the Project (LICED and AAWAJ). Seeing the unity between community leaders and residents to support empowerment was incredibly moving.
A heartfelt thank you to our partners—Siraha Municipality, Lutheran World Fedration (LWF) continuous support in making these inclusive initiatives a reality.

PAC NEPAL is proud to be honored with the “Best Farm Produce Organization – Madhurendra Varma Award” at the 10th International Conference on Climate Smart Agriculture for Global Production and Food Security 2047, held in Bihar, India.

Selected among organizations from 27 participating countries, this prestigious award was received by Mr. Sunil Kumar Yadav, Executive Director of PAC Nepal, recognizing the organization’s outstanding contribution to climate-smart agriculture, sustainable food systems, and resilient livelihoods.

This global recognition motivates us to further strengthen our commitment to sustainable agriculture and food security for the future.

❄️ Winterization Support for Cold Wave–Affected Communities ❄️

On 06 January 2026, PAC Nepal successfully conducted a Winterization Support activity for communities severely affected by the ongoing cold wave at Siraha Municipality, Ward No. 14 and 19.

Under this initiative, 55 vulnerable households received essential winterization materials to help protect children, women, elderly people, persons with disabilities, and other at-risk families from extreme cold conditions.

PAC Nepal sincerely acknowledges the guidance and support of LWF Nepal, which made this timely humanitarian response possible. 🤝
We remain committed to standing with vulnerable communities and ensuring dignity, safety, and well-being during emergencies.

PAC Nepal is pleased to share that the Social Audit and L/PAC Meeting 2025 under the Integrated Community Development Project (ICDP) was successfully completed at Bhangaha Municipality.
The program was conducted with the active participation of local government representatives, L/PAC members, community representatives, child clubs, donor agencies, and other key stakeholders. The meeting served as an important platform for transparency, accountability, mutual learning, and shared reflection on project progress, achievements, challenges, and future plans.
During the program, PAC Nepal also shared information about its other ongoing and completed projects, including LICED, CS4FS projects, and other initiatives, to strengthen coordination, awareness, and collaboration at the municipal and community levels.
PAC Nepal extends its sincere gratitude to Bhangaha Municipality, Good Neighbors International Nepal, Child Clubs, donor agencies, L/PAC members, and all stakeholders for their valuable participation, cooperation, and continued support.

​Ending Digital Violence Against Women & Girls
​PAC-Nepal is proud to join the global 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign! From 25 November to 10 December 2025, we are uniting with partners to highlight the urgent issue of digital violence.
​📣 Campaign Theme:
​"Unite to end digital violence against all women & girls"
(नेपाली: प्रविधिको सही प्रयोग गरौँ, महिला हिंसा अन्त्य गरौँ ।)
​Digital violence—including online harassment, cyberstalking, non-consensual image sharing, and deepfakes—is real violence. It inflicts profound harm on the lives, dignity, and participation of women and girls everywhere, including right here in Siraha.
​🤝 Women's Awareness Program in Siraha
​We recently organized a Women's Awareness Program (महिला सचेतना कार्यक्रम) in partnership with Siraha Nagarpalika Karyalaya, Siraha, with support from Australian Aid, Australian Lutheran World Service, ELCA, and LWF.
​This program empowered women with knowledge on their rights, how to use technology safely, and where to seek support against gender-based violence, especially in the digital space.
​Let's Take Action!
​Educate: Learn to recognize and report digital violence.
​Support: Believe and support survivors of online abuse.
​Advocate: Call for stronger policies and safer digital platforms.
​Digital spaces should be a source of empowerment, not a minefield of abuse. Let's work together to create an online environment where all women and girls can learn, participate, and thrive without fear.

PAC Nepal and LWF Nepal, Successfully marked the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) 2025 in Siraha! 🎉
​We rallied the community with a Mass Awareness March and hosted a crucial Disability Rights Dialogue to push for concrete, inclusive policies in education and service delivery. This event reaffirms our dedication to the goals of the LICED and AAWAJ Projects: advancing social progress by ensuring full and equal participation for persons with disabilities.

As part of the Awaaj Project, PAC-Nepal recently completed a training program on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), Climate Change Adaptation (CCA), and Climate-Smart Practices for the Dalit and Musahar communities in Siraha Municipality.

The training was a collaborative effort with community members, ward chairpersons, and school teachers, focusing on enhancing the capacity of these communities to adapt to climate change and mitigate disaster risks.

This is just one of the many steps we are taking toward creating a more resilient and climate-conscious future for all. 💪🌍🌾
