27+ Years of Service, Thousands of Lives Touched 💙

We are proud to see the journey of the Rotary Club of Dhulikhel featured in Palanchok Weekly, highlighting 27 years of dedicated service and community impact.

From supporting hospitals and schools to reaching underserved and remote communities, our journey has always been guided by one purpose — Service Above Self.

Over the years, this work has been possible because of the commitment of our Rotarians, partner organizations, healthcare professionals, volunteers, supporters, and the communities who have placed their trust in us.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Mrs. Mera Maya Makaju Shrestha, beloved spouse of our Charter Vice President Rotarian Bel Prasad Shrestha, and cherished grandmother of our Club Treasurer Rtn. Chhitiz Shrestha and Youth Coordinator Rtn. Bhawana Ghinanju Shrestha.
Mrs. Mera Maya Makaju Shrestha was a loving guardian and a respected member of the Rotary Club of Dhulikhel family. Her warmth, affection, and support will always be remembered and cherished by us.
On behalf of the Rotary Club of Dhulikhel and the entire Rotary family, we extend our heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathy to the bereaved family during this difficult time. May the Almighty grant the family strength and courage to bear this irreparable loss.
May the departed soul rest in eternal peace.

Celebrating Excellence, Service & Lasting Impact

The 29th Installation Ceremony of the Rotary Club of Dhulikhel was also a celebration of excellence, dedication, and the power of long-term service.

Rotary Ambika Devi–Prem Bahadur Nhuchhe Pradhan Education Award was presented to Ms. Kusum Pathak, a talented student of Sanjeevani Secondary School, in recognition of her outstanding achievement in the SEE examination with an impressive 3.96 GPA.

The Rotary Vocational Service Award was presented to senior artist Mr. Chiranjivi Makaju Shrestha for his lifelong contribution to the preservation and promotion of Dhulikhel’s heritage, nature, culture, and art. His work has helped showcase Dhulikhel’s rich cultural and artistic identity at both national and international levels.

The ceremony also marked an important milestone through the establishment and continuation of long-term educational and vocational service initiatives through MoUs and Endowment Funds.

Our heartfelt appreciation goes to PP Rtn. Manik Lal Kalu Shrestha for establishing the permanent Endowment Fund for the annual Rotary Vocational Service Award, ensuring that individuals making exceptional contributions to society continue to be recognized for years to come.

We also extend our sincere gratitude to PP Rtn. Sushil Byanju Shrestha for establishing the Rotary Sushila Mandil Memorial Education Scholarship Endowment Fund in memory of his beloved parents, creating educational opportunities for deserving and economically disadvantaged students.

These initiatives reflect Rotary’s belief that recognition today can inspire service tomorrow, while a lasting endowment can create opportunities for generations.

29th Installation Ceremony | Rotary Club of Dhulikhel

The Rotary Club of Dhulikhel proudly hosted its 29th President and Board Installation Ceremony in the gracious presence of Rtn. Vishnu Bahadur Karkee, District Governor, Rotary International District 3292, along with distinguished Rotary leaders, Rotarians, partner organizations, guests, and community representatives.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Rtn. Mohan Kumar Shrestha, who has assumed the office of President of the Rotary Club of Dhulikhel for Rotary Year 2026–27, along with the newly installed Board of Directors.

We also express our sincere appreciation to Immediate Past President Dr. Anish Joshi and his Board for their dedicated leadership and valuable contributions during the past Rotary year.
