Rotary Club of Dhulikhel remains committed to improving access to quality education and creating better learning environments for children across Nepal.

Over the years, our educational initiatives have included:

We are proud to have extended our educational support to schools and communities across many parts of Nepal, including Kailali, Bara, Udayapur, Sindhuli, Ramechhap, Dolakha, Sindhupalchok, Mahottari, Siraha, Bardibas, Dhanusha, and many more communities across the country.

For us, improving education is not only about providing materials or infrastructure. It is about creating opportunities, empowering teachers, supporting students, and helping communities build a stronger future.

👁️ Bringing the Gift of Clear Vision to Our Communities 💙

Rotary Club of Dhulikhel is proud to have coordinated 8 Free Eye Screening Camps across Kavrepalanchok and Sindhupalchok, reaching communities where access to eye care can often be limited.

Through this initiative:

✅ 2,436 people received free eye examinations
👓 1,512 people with vision problems received eyeglasses
🏥 37 cataract patients were referred for further treatment and necessary surgery
🎓 448 students received eye examinations along with eye-health awareness and educational materials
🤝 Students with physical and intellectual disabilities were also included in the screening program

This meaningful initiative was made possible through the collaboration and technical support of Rotary Clubs in Australia, Reiyukai Eiko Masunaga Eye Hospital, Banepa, and Flinders University, Australia, together with local governments, schools, health institutions and communities.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all our partners, volunteers, medical professionals, schools, local authorities and community members whose support made these camps possible.

Today marked another significant milestone in the implementation of the Nepal Community School Toilet Project (Global Grant GG2458084) with the successful handover of newly constructed 5 rooms WHO-standard school toilet facilities at Shree Janata Secondary School, Katari Municipality, Udayapur.

The handover ceremony was led by Ranjeev Shrestha, Past President of the Rotary Club of Dhulikhel ,and attended by representatives of Katari Municipality, members of the School Management Committee, teachers, students, local leaders, and community stakeholders. The facilities were formally handed over by Rotary Club of Dhulikhel President Mohan Kumar Shrestha and Mayor Rajesh Chandra Shrestha of Katari Municipality.

This Global Grant project reflects Rotary's commitment to improving health, education, and dignity by providing safe, accessible, and sustainable sanitation facilities for community schools. In addition to the construction of modern, WHO-standard toilets, the project promotes hygiene education to encourage healthy practices and create a safer learning environment for students.

In the aftermath of devastating floods, when families were left struggling with loss, uncertainty, and the painful journey of rebuilding their lives, the spirit of compassion and humanity stood strong.

The Rotary Club of Dhulikhel, in collaboration with Disaster Aid Nepal, Rotary Club of Dhulikhel Shikhalapur, Rotary Club of Kathmandu Circle, The Aquabox Foundation & Kiwanis District Nepal reached 25 flood-affected families of Gajuri Rural Municipality–5, Nepal with life-changing humanitarian support.

This was not just a distribution of relief materials — it was a message of hope, dignity, and solidarity. Each family received a comprehensive recovery package designed to help them survive today and rebuild tomorrow. The support included an AquaBox household water filter and tools for temporary shelter construction, a locally produced family tent for up to five people, gas stove and accessories, sleeping mats, quilts, pillows, clothing, solar lights, nutritious food for children, and shovels to clear mud and debris.

The relief effort was carried out in close coordination with Gajuri Rural Municipality–5, ensuring that support reached the families who needed it most. The Ward Chairperson appreciated this initiative as one of the most complete, organized, and meaningful relief efforts, providing essential resources for families to begin their journey toward recovery.

This humanitarian mission became possible because of the generous support and trust of our global Rotary family — **Rotary Club of Huntsville (Canada), Rotary Club of Dover (United Kingdom), Rotary Intercountry Committee France–Nepal, Rotary Club of Dhulikhel Shikhalapur, and Rotary Club of Dhulikhel**.

Special appreciation goes to the dedicated volunteers from the Rotary Club of Gyaneshwor, whose commitment, compassion, and selfless service helped ensure a smooth and respectful distribution process.

Celebrating 25 years of life-changing service, the Australia–Nepal Rotary Eye Camp has brought hope and vision to thousands.

Rotary Club of Dhulikhel expresses its deepest sorrow over the devastating Bhotekoshi flood, which has caused tragic loss of lives and extensive damage to homes, infrastructure, and livelihoods.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones and stand in solidarity with all those affected by this disaster.

Rotary International District 3292 Nepal-Bhutan has initiated a coordinated relief and recovery response, working together with Rotary Clubs, local authorities, government agencies, humanitarian partners, and communities to support those in urgent need.

We sincerely appreciate the dedicated efforts of the Nepal Army, Armed Police Force, Nepal Police, local authorities, health workers, volunteers, and community members who continue to work tirelessly in rescue and emergency response.
