On 17 June 2025, the Aquatic Ecology Centre at Kathmandu University (AEC), in collaboration with OST–Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences, Eawag–Switzerland, ZHAW–Zurich University of Applied Sciences, Swiss Leading House South Asia, Sandec–Eawag, and the University of Bristol, successfully organized a seminar on research findings and the dissemination of “A Participatory Tool to Assess Water Climate Resilience in Panchkhal and Bidur Municipalities, Nepal: Extending the Water Flow Diagram (WFD) with a Resilience Framework.”
The results were presented by Prof. Subodh Sharma (Principal Investigator – Nepal Chapter) and Dr. Dorotee Spuhler (Principal Investigator – Swiss Chapter). The research team comprised Prof. Guy Howard and Dr. Anisha Nijhawan from the University of Bristol; Ms. Regula Meierhofer and Mr. Loïc Fache from Eawag–Sandec; Dr. Ram Devi Tachamo Shah and Mr. Moti Poudel from Kathmandu University – Aquatic Ecology Centre; Dr. Anish Ghimire from AIT; and Dr. Akina Shrestha from Kathmandu University – Dhulikhel Hospital.
The Research Committee extends its heartfelt gratitude to all seminar participants for their valuable time and insights, which will contribute to the continued application of the Climate Resilience Water Flow Diagram and foster potential collaboration in the near future.
