Talk Show Successfully Conducted on Active Air Sampling for Pathogen Screening.

The Department of Biotechnology, Kathmandu University, in collaboration with KUBiC, successfully organized a talk show on "Active Air Sampling for Pathogen Screening: How We Can Use These Methods for Tuberculosis Monitoring" on 24 July 2026.
The session was led by Mr. Timothy J. Locksmith, a researcher from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, who shared his experiences and research on active air sampling, tuberculosis monitoring, and modern genomic sequencing techniques. His interactive talk gave students and faculty members a better understanding of how these technologies are being used to improve disease surveillance and public health.

We sincerely thank Mr. Timothy J. Locksmith for taking the time to share his knowledge and experiences with us. We also thank all the faculty members, students, and participants whose presence made the event engaging and successful. We look forward to organizing more such learning opportunities in the future.
