Vertical Biodiversity Fund A non-profit organization working in the areas of biodiversity education, conservation, and sustainable livelihoods.

Vertical Biodiversity Fund ‘VBF’ is a not-profit distributing organization based in the Eastern Region of Nepal. The VBF is working with farmers, youth, and local communities across a vertical gradient from Koshi Tappu to Kanchenjunga to protect the natural environment and to support farmers to grow organic and nutritious fruits and vegetables. Its farms operate as demonstration hubs or resource centers for local rural farmers to learn about environmental sustainability.

🌱 The Mobile Agriculture Monitoring & Advisory (MAMA) Team is conducting door-to-door monitoring in Hilihang-1, Panchthar, under KTK-BELT’s “Farmer as Professor” program.

The team is identifying emerging crop and plant health issues, including pest infestations in orange orchards and Akabare chili, as well as yellowing and declining leaves in fruit trees, while providing farmers with practical, field-based advice.
