Students Equipped with Life-Saving Skills Through Medical First Responder Training
Dharan, Sunsari тАУ July 19, 2026: JCI Dharan Junior, in collaboration with the Rotaract Club of Dharan Ghopa, successfully organized a Medical First Responder (MFR) Training at English Boarding School, DharanтАУ13, aimed at preparing students to respond confidently and correctly during medical emergencies before professional healthcare providers arrive.
The program was organized by JCI Dharan Junior with training support from the Rotaract Club of Dharan Ghopa. The event was coordinated by EVP Jr. Jc. Sristi Maskey on behalf of JCI Dharan Junior and Rtr. Munal Kafle on behalf of the Rotaract Club of Dharan Ghopa. Lotus English Boarding School played a vital role by providing the venue, coordinating the students, and creating an excellent learning environment for the training.
More than 45 students and 24 members from both organizations participated in the program. The event was attended by JCI Dharan Junior President Jr. Jc. Santosh Koirala and the Board of Directors, Rotaract Club of Dharan Ghopa President Rtr. Anjali Subedi and her board members, along with the school's Coordinator, ECA Coordinator, and teaching staff.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Rtr. Anjali Subedi, President of the Rotaract Club of Dharan Ghopa, shared that it was one of the best Medical First Responder (MFR) training programs she had ever attended. She expressed her sincere appreciation to JCI Dharan Junior for organizing such a meaningful initiative and stated that the Rotaract Club of Dharan Ghopa always welcomes opportunities to collaborate with JCI Dharan Junior in future programs. She affirmed that the club is ready to extend its support in any way possible and looks forward to conducting more joint initiatives, especially those related to health and community service. She also thanked the management of Lotus English Boarding School for providing the venue, coordinating the students, and extending excellent support in making the training a success.
Jr. Jc. Santosh Koirala, President of JCI Dharan Junior, emphasized the importance of conducting Medical First Responder training in schools, stating that students should be equipped to act as responsible first responders during emergencies by staying calm, assessing the situation, assisting victims appropriately, and reporting accurate information to medical professionals or senior responders. He added that JCI Dharan Junior plans to organize similar educational programs in more schools with different learning objectives.
The main objective of the training was to ensure students are prepared for medical emergencies and understand that they should not panic in critical situations, but instead observe the environment, provide safe initial assistance, and communicate essential information тАФ helping improve the chances of saving lives before professional medical help arrives.
The program concluded with a Token of Love exchange ceremony, symbolizing the strong partnership among JCI Dharan Junior, the Rotaract Club of Dharan Ghopa, and Lotus English Boarding School. The organizers expressed their sincere gratitude to the school administration, coordinators, teachers, and all participants for their valuable support in making the event a grand success.
