Oral Hygiene
Better teeth means better health .Oral hygiene is the practice of keeping one's mouth clean and free of disease and other problems (e.g. halitosis) by regular brushing and cleaning of the teeth . Oral health are a major public health concern owing to their higher prevalence and their effects on the individual's quality of life. According to the WHO , "Promotion of oral health is a cost-effective strategy to reduce the burden of oral disease and maintain oral health and quality of life. It is fundamental to overall health and affects the wellbeing and quality of life of every individual . Oral health affects an individual’s oral functions and social interactions, and it is closely linked to overall health and quality of life.
Take care of your teeth ,they will take care of your youth. Diet affects the development of dental caries, dental erosion, periodontitis, oral cancer, and many other diseases of the soft tissues of the oral cavity. Poor oral hygiene can lead to the development of dental caries and periodontitis, and is also associated with heart disease, cancer, and diabetes. Smoking has been linked to oral cancer, gingival and periodontal disease, tooth discoloration, halitosis, taste bud changes, and difficulty healing wounds after surgery. High alcohol intake is associated with an increased risk of developing oral cancer or other potentially malignant disorders, periodontitis, dental caries, and xerostomia.
There is much more to oral health than beautiful and healthy teeth. Dentist is just not a word , dentist are similar to parents but they criticize for your teeth instead of your lifestyle. Dentists make the world a better place one smile at a time .Brush your teeth everyday , to keep the dentist away .Brush your teeth , crush your cavity .Routine tooth brushing is the principal method of preventing many oral diseases, and perhaps the most important activity an individual can practice to reduce plaque buildup.Toothpaste with fluoride, or alternatives such as nano-hydroxyapatite, is an important tool to readily use when tooth brushing. Knowledge of oral health is a fundamental prerequisite for healthy behavior, which allows an individual to take measures to protect their own health ,so don't rush when you brush. Last but not the least , life is short , so smile freely until you have teeth .
