The 25th Kamaiya Liberation Day was solemnly celebrated in Dhangadhi, with the participation of hundreds of freed Kamaiyas from the Kailali and Kanchanpur districts. The Chief Minister of Sudurpaschim Province graced the Day Celebration and Interaction programs as the Chief Guest. The honorable Ministers of Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives, and Social Development of the province were present as Special Guests.

We wish to extend our sincere gratitude to all distinguished guests, board members, staff, and Kamaiya leaders and activists for their invaluable support in organizing this remarkable event. We remain hopeful that the commitments made by the Chief Guest and other dignitaries will be effectively implemented for the betterment of the lives of the freed Kamaiyas.

Expression of Interest (EoI) for Consultancy Services

The Freed Kamaiya Women Development Forum (FKWDF), established in 2008 by women’s groups of former bonded laborers, is dedicated to advocating for the abolition of the Kamaiya and Kamlaries systems and ensuring just rehabilitation for those affected. Our mission is to enhance the social, economic, and cultural rights of ex-bonded laborers while creating livelihood opportunities in collaboration with national and international organizations and various government levels.
Currently, we are implementing the SAHAKARAYA Project and the Women’s Entrepreneurship Development in Non-Traditional Sectors project in partnership with FCA-Nepal/Women Bank. As part of these initiatives, we plan to conduct the following training sessions for project staff and beneficiaries:
1. Start and Improve Your Business Training
2. Leadership Training
3. Digital Skill Enhancement/Farmers FIELD School Training of Trainers (ToT)
4. ToT on Gender Sensitization Related to Non-Traditional Entrepreneurship

Proposal must be submitted in English and should include both technical and financial components. Interested Nepalese firms, organization, or individuals who meet the qualifications outlined in the ToR are encouraged to submit their EOI. We recommend thoroughly reviewing the ToR to familiarize yourself with the requirements. Preference will be given to candidates with proven experience in providing training in the specified areas particularly in the livelihood promotion, gender sensitization, and development and promotion of agriculture-based enterprises.

Proposals submitted after the deadline will not be considered, and any proposal that does not meet the specified requirements will be disqualified. The proposal that best meets the requirements and offers the best value for money will be selected.
