Pustak Pariyojana 📚 Another Chapter Added, This Time from Dhankuta!

Team NEPO's Pustak Pariyojana continues to grow, carrying forward our belief that a book is never just a book, but a bridge to change, dignity, and second chances.

Our Dhankuta district team has taken this vision one step further by establishing a Prison Reform Library at District Prison, Dhankuta bringing books and the possibility of transformation to a space where access to knowledge is often limited. More books are already planned to enrich the collection in the days ahead.

A heartfelt thank you to Team NEPO Dhankuta and every hand; clubs, local bookstores, schools, and well-wishers that made this possible. This is exactly the spirit Pustak Pariyojana was built on: local teams stepping up, understanding the "why," and carrying the mission forward in their own communities.

Proud of you, Team Dhankuta. Here's to more pages turned, more lives touched. 🙏

Team NEPO stands with Nepal! 🙏

Our hearts are heavy as we watch the devastating flash floods that have hit Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading and surrounding areas, claiming lives and leaving so many missing. This is one of the most painful moments our country has faced in recent years.

We are deeply grateful to the Nepal Army, security forces, local authorities, and the Government of Nepal for their rescue and relief efforts, often carried out in extremely difficult and dangerous conditions. Our thanks also go to the foreign embassies and international partners who have expressed solidarity and support during this crisis.

Team NEPO stands in solidarity with every family affected by this tragedy. We are closely monitoring the situation and exploring how our network both in Nepal and among Nepalis abroad can contribute to relief and recovery efforts in the days ahead.

To everyone in the affected areas: please stay safe, follow official guidance, and look out for one another.

🇳🇵 Stay strong, Nepal. We are with you.

Team NEPO joins Nepal and the global mountaineering community in mourning the loss of Nirmal ‘Nimsdai’ Purja and the climbers who lost their lives in the Broad Peak avalanche.

Nims Dai did not just break records, he broke perceptions. Through Project Possible, he showed the world that Nepali mountaineers are not merely the strength behind others' summits, but leaders, innovators, and pioneers capable of redefining what is possible in the mountains. That shift in how the world sees Nepali climbers is a legacy that will outlast every record.

Today we also remember Pur Bahadur "Yukta" Gurung, Kili Pemba "Kilu" Sherpa, Nima Sherpa, Nawang Thindu Sherpa, Gyalu Sherpa, Sohail Sakhi, Mallory Geis, Nadhira Al Harthy, and Wang Zhong, each a life of courage and dreams, each dearly loved and now deeply missed.

On behalf of Team NEPO, we extend our heartfelt condolences to their families, friends, and the entire mountaineering community. Nepal has lost a son who carried its name to the top of the world. Rest in peace. You will always be remembered. 🏔️🇳🇵

Celebrating a wonderful milestone and a meaningful act of service!

We would like to congratulate Team NEPO Tanahun on the successful completion sanitation drive at Manungkot, one of Tanahun's most cherished tourist destinations held in honour of Team NEPO's 11th Anniversary.

With active participation from its members, Team NEPO Tanahun took to the trails and viewpoints of Manungkot to collect and clear plastic waste, water bottles, glass bottles, and other litter that had been carelessly discarded across the site.

Manungkot's natural beauty is a shared heritage not only for the local community, but for every traveller. Litter strewn across its landscape not only harms the environment but also leaves a lasting negative impression on both domestic and international tourists. By showing up and taking action, Team NEPO Tanahun embodied the spirit of responsible citizenship.

To everyone who visits Manungkot and other natural spaces: please carry your waste back with you, and be the responsible citizen our environment deserves. 🌿♻️

This week, we join the global community in recognising the spirit of volunteerism on International Volunteer Day 2025. UNV celebrates this year under the theme, “Every Contribution Matters,” a message that deeply reflects the journey and ethos of Team NEPO.

Our work has always been powered by young leaders who volunteer their time, ideas, and skills to uplift communities and create meaningful change. From environmental action to advocacy, education support, youth empowerment, and collaborative community projects, every single contribution, big or small, strengthens our shared vision for a better Nepal.

To all the volunteers who have walked with Team NEPO over the years: thank you. Your dedication inspires hope, creates opportunities, and drives progress in places where it is needed most. Your commitment to serve, without expectation, is the true force behind everything we have built together.

On this occasion, we honour your efforts, your leadership, and your belief in collective action. Every contribution matters and together, they shape our future.
