#पर्सा मधेशमा दलितको अधिकारका लागि सक्रियताका साथ आवाज उठाउँदै आएको संस्था Peace4Dalits Foundation सँग मिलेर DLMGA ले हालै संखुवा प्रसौनी, पर्सामा एउटा महत्वपूर्ण नीति परामर्श कार्यक्रम आयोजना गर्यौं जसमा मेयर, कार्यकारी महिला सदस्य,स्थानीय जनप्रतिनिधि, दलित महिला सदस्य, पत्रकार र समाजसेवीहरूको सहभागीमा नीति म्यापिङ रिपोर्ट समीक्षाको साथै ठोस कार्ययोजना पनि तयार गरियो।
यो संवादका पाँच मुख्य विषयहरु;
1️⃣ दलित र सीमान्तकृत समुदायको स्थानीय नीति र योजना निर्माणमा सहभागिता
2️⃣ युवा–मैत्री नीति
3️⃣ विपद् जोखिम व्यवस्थापन र जलवायु परिवर्तन
4️⃣ लैंगिक समानता र सामाजिक समावेशीकरण (GESI)
5️⃣ जातीय भेदभाव र छुवाछूतको अन्त्य
दलित लाइभ्स म्याटर ग्लोबल एलायन्सले ७७ जिल्लामा दलित तथा सिमान्तकृत समुदायसंग मिलेर सबैखाले विभेद अन्त्यको लागि काम गर्ने लक्ष्य राखेको छ। यहि उदेश्य अनुरुप DLMGA ले British Council Nepal सँगको साझेदारीमा मधेश र लुम्बिनी प्रदेशका १० जिल्लाहरूका १० पालिकाहरूमा नीतिगत खाडलहरू पहिचान गर्दै स्थानीय सरकार र संघ-संस्थाहरूसँग सहकार्यमा काम गर्दैछ। यस पहलले स्थानीय संस्थाहरूलाई सशक्त बनाई प्रमाण-आधारित वकालत गर्न मद्दत गर्दै, आउने महिनाहरूमा स्थानीय सरकारलाई जवाफदेही बनाउन र समावेशी नीति बनाउन संवादको नेतृत्व गर्नेछ भन्ने विश्वास लिएको छ।
नेपालमा राजनीतिक प्राथमिकताहरू बदलिँदै गएको अवस्थामा यो परामर्शबाट प्राप्त नतिजाहरू अझ महत्वपूर्ण बनेका छन्। ठूलो राजनीतिक परिवर्तनले गर्दा सीमान्तकृत समुदायको आवाज झन् दबिन सक्ने हुँदा तथ्य र प्रमाणको आधारमा वकालत गर्नु, स्थानीय कुरामा सीमान्तकृत समुदायको सहभागिता बढाउनु, र शासनमा जवाफदेहिता सुनिश्चित गर्नु अब झनै आवश्यक छ l
हामी यस्ता कार्यहरूलाई जारी राख्ने छौं र हाम्रा साझेदार संस्थाहरूको प्रयासलाई अझ बलियो बनाउने छौं। सामुदायिक परिवर्तनका लागि गरिएको प्रभावशाली पहलहरूमा आउनुहोस् हामीसंग सहभागी हुनुहोस्!

Dalit Lives Matter Global Alliance (DLMGA) is committed to working alongside Dalit and marginalized communities in all 77 districts of Nepal to drive lasting, transformative change. At present, we are supporting 10 civil society organizations (CSOs) across and Provinces. Among them is our valued partner, the Peace4 Dalit Foundation Nepal, a strong voice for Dalit and marginalized rights in Parsa district, Madhesh.
On July, we co-hosted a policy consultation in Sakhuwa Prasauni, Parsa bringing together Mayor,Executive women member,Ward chairpersons & elected representatives,Journalist, Dalit Women Members, and social worker.Together, we reviewed a critical policy mapping report and developed a joint action plan to strengthen inclusive policies.
The dialogue centered on critical gaps in five key areas:
1. Dalit and marginalized communities’ participation in local policy and planning,
2. Youth-centric policies,
3. Disaster risk management and climate change,
4. Gender equality and social inclusion (GESI),
5. Caste-based discrimination and untouchability issues.
This consultation is a cornerstone of our broader partnership with the British Council. By identifying these policy gaps, we amplify CSOs capacity to strengthen their leadership and launch evidence-based advocacy campaigns. Leveraging these findings, our partners are now leading dialogues to hold local governments accountable and champion inclusive policymaking through community action.
Today, with Nepal experiencing political uncertainty and shifting priorities, the outcomes of this consultation have become even more relevant. Strengthening evidence-based advocacy, improving community participation, and ensuring accountability in local policymaking are critical in moments when marginalized voices risk being overshadowed by larger political developments.
