Charitable Cultural Fest & Award Affiliation Ceremony Concludes at National Medical College

The “Charitable Cultural Fest & Award Affiliation Ceremony” was successfully held at National Medical College & Teaching Hospital (NMCTH), Birgunj, organized by the Charitable Society and Nepal Health Corps – NMCTH, with enthusiastic participation from students and faculty.

The program was chaired by Prof. Dr. K. N. Singh (Principal, NMC) and graced by distinguished guests. Prof. Dr. Jainuddin Ansari (Chairman, NMC) attended as the Chief Guest, while Mr. Shahnawaz Ansari (Managing Director, NMC) honored the event as the Guest of Honor. Other notable attendees included Dr. Ruby Yashmine (Academic Director), Mr. Abid Hussain Ansari (Admission and Marketing Director), Dr. Ishrat Zahan (Hospital Director), Dr. Ravi Shankar Gupta (Vice Principal), Prof. Dr. Saroj Deo (Vice Principal, Dental), Prof. Ms. Ganga Gurung (Nursing Director), and Prof. Dr. Babita Singh (Vice Principal, Nursing), whose presence added prestige to the occasion.

The event celebrated creativity, leadership, social responsibility, and community service, featuring student performances, report presentations, award distributions, and cheque handovers. The program was led by MD Umar Dewan, Vice President of the Charitable Society and Ambassador of Nepal Health Corps – NMCTH, whose leadership was instrumental in its success. Members of the Nepal Health Corps and the Charitable Society also contributed significantly, ensuring the event’s smooth ex*****on.

Through this initiative, the National Medical College family reaffirmed its guiding vision: “Beyond Medicine, Towards Humanity.”

Nepal health corps-NMCTH,birgunj team in action

In the midst of the Cholera outbreak in Birgunj, students from National Medical College are actively volunteering in cholera awareness, case detection, and reporting.

Working in collaboration with Birgunj Metropolitan City, Ministry of Health and Population, WHO Nepal, UNICEF, and EDCD, these dedicated youths are standing on the frontlines—protecting communities and spreading hope.

Their selfless service reminds us that youth leadership and collective action are the strongest weapons against public health crises.

We are proud to celebrate the remarkable achievement of our Ambassador, MD Umar Dewan, who has been awarded the International Youth Icon Award – 2025!

Presented by Former Minister of Water Supply, Md Abdul Salam Khan, this award in the spirit of Nepal, India, and Bangladesh recognizes his outstanding contributions in social activities and community service.

❤️ A Day of Care, Love & Healing ❤️

On August 11, we at Nepal Health Corps, in collaboration with Charitable Society – NMCTH and GAIMS, reached Our Sansar Bal Griha , Parwanipur with one mission – to bring smiles, care, and hope to the children who call it home.

This heartfelt program was led by MD Umar Dewan, and it became a beautiful success because of the kindness that lives in our community.

Our deepest and most heartfelt thanks to Mr. Shahnawaz Ansari Sir Managing Director of National Medical College. His generosity went far beyond providing essential medicines—he stood by us throughout the program, ensuring every child received the care they deserved. His compassion and willingness to help without hesitation inspire us all.

We are also grateful to Mr. Subash and the beloved didi of Our Sansar for their warm hospitality and constant support in making this day possible.

Moments like these remind us – love and kindness are the best medicines of all.

On Sharwan 17 (Saturday), Nepal health corps-NMCTH,birgunj , in collaboration with , successfully organized a Free Health Camp at Pasupatinath Temple, Pipra, Birgunj.

👨‍⚕️ A total of 305 individuals were screened, among which:
🔹 were diagnosed with Diabetes
🔹 were found to have Hypertension

Successful Health Camp at Pasupatinath Temple, Pipra

On Sharwan 12 (Monday), the Charitable Society of NMCTH, in collaboration with Nepal Health Corps, successfully organized a Free Health Camp at Pasupatinath Temple, Pipra, Birgunj.

👨‍⚕️ A total of 163 individuals were screened, among which:
🔹 26 were diagnosed with Diabetes
🔹 30+ were found to have Hypertension

This meaningful initiative was led by our NHC-NMCTH Ambassador, MD Umar Dewan.

🍂 A Day That Touched Our Soul – Manavsewa Ashram Visit 🍂
Today, we didn’t just serve food — we shared hope, love, and human connection.
With Nepal health corps-NMCTH,birgunj and Nationalmedicalcollege Charitablesociety , we reached Manavsewa Ashram… but what we received in return was far more than we gave.

We looked into the eyes of forgotten elders, listened to the silent stories written on wrinkled faces — of lives once full of dreams, now quietly sitting in corners waiting to be remembered.

They didn’t ask for money. They didn’t ask for fame.
All they wanted… was someone to sit beside them, to smile at them, to say:
“You matter.”

We danced. We cried. We laughed through tears.
Dewash sir’s words shook our hearts, reminding us that humanity is not in grand speeches or big donations — it’s in the simple act of being there.

Md Umar Dewan led us with courage and compassion, and with the help of Pradeep Choudhary and Jitendra Das and , we served meals to 50–60 souls — but it wasn’t just food, it was dignity. It was love served on a plate.

And when they said “Thank you” with trembling voices, we realized…
This world doesn’t need more heroes. It needs more hearts.

Please — next time you eat, smile, laugh with your family…
Think of those who are praying for just one visitor, one smile, one warm meal.
Make time. Make them feel seen.
Because in the end, what is life if not shared in love?

यस शिविरमा नेशनल मेडिकल कलेजका एक जना बालरोग विशेषज्ञ (Pediatric Consultant) ले बालबालिकाहरूको स्वास्थ्य परीक्षणमा सहयोग पुर्‍याउनुभयो। कार्यक्रमको नेतृत्व हाम्रा एम्बेसेड MD उमर देवान द्वारा गरियो, जसको सक्रियता र समर्पणले शिविरलाई सफल बनाउन ठूलो भूमिका खेलेको छ।

शिविरमा निम्न सेवा प्रदान गरियो:

✅ 1st स्वास्थ्य शिविर अपडेट – पशुपतिनाथ मन्दिर, पिपरा
हिजो नेपाल हेल्थ कोर्प्स – NMCTH द्वारा निःशुल्क स्वास्थ्य शिविर सफलतापूर्वक पशुपतिनाथ मन्दिर, पिपरा मा सम्पन्न गरियो।

🧑‍⚕️ जम्मा १७५ जना बिरामीहरूको स्वास्थ्य परीक्षण गरियो, जसमा:
🔹 २१ जना मा मधुमेह (डायबिटिज) पत्ता लाग्यो
🔹 ३५ जना मा उच्च रक्तचाप (हाइपरटेन्सन) देखा पर्‍यो

यो अर्थपूर्ण पहल Charitable Society को सहकार्यमा सम्पन्न भयो भने औषधी सहयोग Saksi Pharmacy ले र आर्थिक सहयोग डानिल्सले गर्यो
