🔧 Empowering Skills, Empowering Lives

With immense joy, we share the successful completion of our 57-day Electrician Training Program in partnership with Chaudhary foundation held at Bakhri Aadharbhoot Vidyalaya.

A total of 30 participants—including 10 wonderful women—completed the course and received their certificates, stepping forward with new skills and new confidence for a brighter future.

This journey was made possible through the valued partnership of Chaudhary Foundation and the generous support of Bakhri Aadharbhoot Vidyalaya.

We are proud to witness young hands becoming skilled hands, ready to serve, earn, and grow.

Together, we continue working for skill development and community empowerment.

Today, our president didn’t want to simply say “thank you.” She wanted everyone to *experience* gratitude.

So instead of a formal farewell, She created "The Gratitude Circle”—a space where appreciation became an activity, memories became conversations, and every smile added another ripple to the circle.

Our journey began with “One Year in One Breath,” a simple reflection on everything we achieved together in one year. Then the fun truly unfolded through our interactive stations:

"Clean Action Station" – where members pledged one small habit they would change for a cleaner tomorrow and carried home a car bin as a reminder that every clean car is a small act of Rotary in motion.

"Stories That Feed Us" – where cookbooks sparked conversations and everyone shared the “recipe” or secret ingredient that best described their Rotary year.

"Circle of Identity" – a reminder that we don’t just belong to Rotary; we carry its values with us, along with thoughtful keepsakes to treasure. A pair of Rotary Wheel Earrings for each one of us .

"Wall of Thanks" – perhaps the most touching corner of all, where notes of gratitude, cherished memories, and heartfelt acknowledgements quietly filled the board, one sticky note at a time.

And finally, each member took home “The Ripple Kit”—a Silk cloth Rotary logo printed bag with a plant, carrying the message:
“What we grow next depends on what we plant today.”

The evening was filled with laughter, reflection, photos, conversations, and genuine engagement. It reminded me that the true strength of any club lies not only in the projects it completes, but in the people who stand behind them with generosity, friendship, and purpose.

❤️ One year. Many hands. One impact. And a circle of gratitude that will continue to grow long after today.

A heartfelt thank you to Rotarian Lata Sarda for generously donating a beautiful teak wood showcase almirah to our Cerebral Palsy Day Care Centre. 💙

This thoughtful gift will help us safely organize student records while proudly displaying the trophies and milestones that tell the story of our journey.

Some gifts do more than fill a space—they add warmth, purpose, and pride to it.

Thank you, Lata ji, for your kindness and continued support. 🙏✨

Some projects are not just inaugurations—they are moments where intention turns into impact.

Yesterday at CNI Office, Bargachhi Chowk, we inaugurated the second phase of our District Grant project “Thirst Quench”, a simple but deeply meaningful effort to ensure that clean drinking water is available to everyone who passes through this busy stretch of our city.

Standing there in the presence of Ward Chairperson Mr. Kumar Pokhrel, CNI President Mr. Pawan Sarda, and Assistant Governor Rtn. Binod Agrawal, it felt less like a formal event and more like a shared commitment—to make something basic like water accessible, dignified, and free.

What makes this project truly sustainable is not just the infrastructure, but the partnership behind it. With Rotary’s effort, District support, and CNI’s commitment to bear the ongoing electricity, water, and maintenance costs, we are not just installing a water station—we are securing its future.

On a hot day, a glass of cold water is not a luxury. It is relief. It is care. It is dignity.

If this station quietly serves hundreds of people every day without asking for anything in return, then we will know we did something right.

This is what service feels like when it becomes real.

Sometimes, service is as simple as sharing a cool drink, a sweet mango, and a moment of care.

Today, members of Rotary Club of Biratnagar Downtown visited the residential students of Panchali Sanskrit Vidyalaya and served Thandai and fresh mangoes to help them beat the summer heat.

The smiles on their faces reminded us that kindness doesn't have to be grand to make a difference. A small gesture, shared with love, can make someone feel remembered, valued, and cared for.

Delighted to share that a One-Day Storytelling Program was conducted today at our Cerebral Palsy Centre by Ms. Tanushka Rathi.

Through engaging stories and interactive storytelling activities, the session brought joy, creativity, and meaningful learning experiences for the children at the Centre.

We sincerely thank Ms. Tanushka Rathi for her valuable time, warmth, and generosity. She has also kindly extended her support by sponsoring one month’s food for the children at the Centre.

Such initiatives strengthen our commitment to inclusive care, learning, and happiness for every child.

A Step Towards a Healthier Community ✨💧

We successfully inaugurated one of our District Grant Project
“Thirst Quench – Quenching Every Drop of Thirst with Clean Drinking Water”

The project was inaugurated by Honourable Bhim Parajuli, Tourism, Forests and Environment Minister, Koshi Province, alongside Airport chief Mr Subhash Jha andAG Binod Agrawal at the Airport Taxi Stand, Biratnagar.

This initiative has been specially started to provide FREE clean and safe drinking water to airport staff, taxi drivers, travelers, and the general public — especially during the scorching summer heat.

We are grateful to all dignitaries, guests, Rotarians, and supporters who joined hands with us in this meaningful community service initiative.

Together, every drop can make a difference. 💙
