Gladiolus, genus of the iris family (Iridaceae), derived from the latin 'gladius', which means 'sword'.
In flower language ,Gladiolus is considered the flower of the gladiators. It symbolizes character strength, generosity and also ''love at first sight''.
It is one of the plants toxic to dogs ,cats and can also be toxic to humans. Its toxic component is in the buds.

Primula denticulata, the drumstick primula, is a species of flowering plant in the family Primulaceae.It has gained the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.
Primula denticulata is known to contain the contact allergens primin and other quinoid compounds.
Primin can cause severe skin reactions, symptoms including burning,itching,contact dermatitis.Eye contact may cause redness and swelling.
