🎗️ Cervical Cancer Screening (VIA) & Cancer Awareness Program 🎗️
Inner Wheel Club of Bharatpur Divine and Kriyashil Mahila Samuha jointly organized a Cervical Cancer Screening (VIA) and Cancer Awareness Program on 2083/06/14 at Mills Area Tole, Diyalo College, Bharatpur–2, Kshetrapur. The program was successfully conducted with the objective of promoting women’s health awareness, early screening, and prevention of cervical cancer.
The program was chaired by President IW Narayani Devi Shrestha, Inner Wheel Club of Bharatpur Divine, and Vice President Mrs. Nirmala Pokhrel, Kriyashil Mahila Samuha.
The Chief Guest of the program was Ward Chairperson of Bharatpur Metropolitan City–2, Mr. Manoj Ranabhat.
The program was graced by the presence of the following Special Guests:
IW Saroja Maskey Hyoju — Past President of Inner Wheel Club of Bharatpur Divine and Chairperson, Family Planning Association, Chitwan Branch
Mr. Dhurba Raj Paudel — Office Chief of Family Planning Association
Mrs. Sarala Joshi — President of Mills Area Tole Development Organization
Mrs.Sharmila Ghale — immediate past president of inner wheel club of Bharatpur divine
The VIA Cervical Cancer Screening was conducted by Nursing Officer Mrs. Bijaya Shrestha, Mrs. Janaki Bhattarai, and Mrs. Sabitri Sapkota. A total of 60 women received VIA screening services, among whom 17 women were found to have an infection and were provided with necessary medication. 🎗️
The program was attended by the office bearers, Board Members, and members of Inner Wheel Club of Bharatpur Divine, along with representatives and members of the participating organizations. The program was coordinated by IW Sarita Dhital jiu.
Addressing the program, Ward Chairperson Mr. Manoj Ranabhat highlighted the importance of women’s health and encouraged women to be more aware and proactive about their health.
Similarly, Mr. Dhurba Raj Paudel, Office Chief of the Family Planning Association, provided valuable information on cervical cancer, its risk factors, the importance of timely screening, early detection, and preventive measures.
