Örjan and me are back in Bhaktapur, Nepal and visit Gyan Bikash School together with Lions Clubs of Bhaktapur Narasinga. It's such a pleasure to see these sweet, happy kids. It was also time for them to get their food delivery. The healthy delivery contains for example beans, rice, and eggs.
To meet the children at Gyan Bikash School again is really indescribable. These beautiful children and their joy and gratitude to receive lunch from the project is difficult for me to take in as a Swede who has never gone hungry. I have also never seen Swedish children, or adults, who do not take food for granted, me included
Today there are 185 children enrolled, grades 1-5. These children come from very poor homes with very little opportunity to eat their fill, many come to school hungry. A project thats lay my hart very close. Thank you to everyone who supports this project and Lions Club who make it possible to continue supporting the school with school lunches every day!
