The screening and selection process of applicants under the ECD Montessori Training, implemented through a tripartite model between Lalitpur Metropolitan City (LMC), Changunarayan Foundation (CNF), and the Early Childhood Education Center (ECEC), is carefully designed to ensure that only committed and capable candidates are enrolled while maintaining inclusivity and transparency. The process begins with a broad call for applications through both online and offline channels through KOBO TOOLBOX targeting motivated and dedicated interested in building a career in early childhood education. After receiving applications, an initial screening is conducted based on minimum eligibility criteria such as educational background, communication skills, and genuine interest in teaching, with priority given to individuals from local communities ie LMC . Shortlisted candidates then go through a structured assessment that included basic aptitude tests, interviews to assess motivation and attitude, and behavioral observations through group activities to evaluate interpersonal and emotional skills. Orientation sessions are conducted to clearly communicate the expectations, training structure, and job placement commitments, ensuring that only serious and dedicated candidates continue in the process. The final selection will be made jointly by representatives from LMC, CNF, and ECEC, ensuring fairness, gender balance, and local representation. Selected trainees are then enrolled in a six-month program that integrates classroom-based Montessori training with practical On-the-Job Training (OJT) in schools, supported by continuous monitoring and mentoring. This comprehensive approach not only ensures skill development but also guarantees job placement in different schools, making the program a strong model for linking training with sustainable employment outcomes.
