On the occasion of the World Day against Trafficking in Persons on 30th July, the focus of 2023 was to ensure that "Reach Every Victim of Trafficking, Leave No one Behind."
In line with this important agenda, WMOO Nepal and Prahari Prabhaag Sanothimi joined hands to conduct an awareness and interaction program at Pragatinagar Samagra Bikaash Sahayog Samaaj Saamudayik Bhawan, situated in a slum area. During the program, crucial information about human trafficking was provided. The event witnessed active participation from residents of the ward and surrounding communities.

WMOO Kakkarvitta branch organized a one-day awareness and interaction program in Ward No. 4 of Bahundhangi, Mechinagarpalika. The program focused on raising awareness about the critical issue of human trafficking. Participants from different groups, including Aama Samuha, social volunteers, and women, actively took part in the program.

🚨 Justice Served: Two Innocent Girls Rescued from Traffickers 🚨

In Morang District, Rita and Sita (name changed), both 16 years old, were rescued from a perilous situation while attempting to cross the border with their boyfriends. Thanks to the vigilant staff of World Missions Outreach Organization (WMOO) at Kakarvitta border, their inconsistent responses raised red flags, leading to their rescue.

Investigations revealed that the girls had fallen victim to traffickers who deceived them with false promises of marriage and then trafficked them to India. The police found incriminating evidence on the traffickers' phones, exposing their heinous activities.
With WMOO's assistance, the families were contacted, and legal action was taken against the traffickers. Rita and Sita are now safe at home, while the traffickers have been sentenced to imprisonment and fined, ensuring justice prevails.

Let's commend the dedicated efforts of law enforcement, WMOO, and the families involved in protecting these young girls and raising awareness about the fight against human trafficking. Together, we can create a safer world for all.
