🎉 Successfully Completed: 18th Annual General Meeting & Establishment Day of CDM Nepal 🎉
The 18th Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Establishment Day of the Center for Development and Disaster Management (CDM Nepal) was successfully held on Jestha 3, 2083 (May 17, 2026) in Butwal.
The program featured presentations on the organization’s annual progress, financial report, and updates on various ongoing projects.
The event witnessed the remarkable participation of representatives from local governments, professionals working in disaster management and environmental sectors, journalists, advisors, development partners, and officials of CDM Nepal.
The program was chaired by Mr. Tara Prasad Kafle, Chairperson of CDM Nepal, with special chief guest Ms. Jeet Kumari Belbase, President of NGO Federation Lumbini Province. The event was hosted by Ms. Lekha Bhattarai, Administrative Head of the organization.
On this special occasion, outstanding employees were honored, and appreciation certificates were presented to staff working in different projects.
CDM Nepal remains committed to continued collaboration and contribution in the areas of disaster risk reduction, capacity building, and sustainable community development. The organization looks forward to strengthening its partnership with communities in the days ahead.

The Annual Progress Review and Planning Workshop of the SUPER-II Program, implemented in coordination with the Lumbini Province Government and in partnership with UNICEF Nepal, has been successfully completed. The program is being carried out in disaster-affected municipalities across Lumbini Province, including Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City and Kohalpur Municipality.

I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations and sincere thanks to the Lumbini Province Government, Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City, UNICEF Nepal, and all team members who contributed directly and indirectly through their coordination and collaboration to make this program a success.

📍अनुगमन भ्रमण | रुपन्देही जिल्ला | SWC Evaluation
सामुदायिक उत्थानशीलता कार्यक्रम – तेस्रो चरण (CRP-III) अन्तर्गत सियारी, सुद्धोधन, सम्मरिमाई र मर्चवारी गाउँपालिकाहरूमा मैदानी अनुगमन भ्रमण सफलतापूर्वक सम्पन्न गरिएको छ।
उक्त अनुगमन भ्रमण नेपाल सरकारको तर्फबाट समाज कल्याण परिषद् (SWC) का टोली प्रमुख श्री नेत्र प्रसाद सापकोटा, टोली सदस्य श्री दिलिप कुमार यादव तथा वित्तीय विज्ञ (CA) श्री अशोक न्यौपानेको सहभागितामा सम्पन्न भएको हो।
माघ २८ र २९ गते सम्पन्न अनुगमनका क्रममा सियारी गाउँपालिकाका उपाध्यक्ष श्री तारा थारु तथा सम्बन्धित शाखा प्रमुखहरूसँग अन्तरक्रिया गरिएको थियो। साथै कृषिमा संलग्न प्रेरणादायी युवा उद्यमीहरूसँग भेटघाट, विद्यालय व्यवस्थापन समिति तथा मर्मत तथा सुधार कार्यहरू (जस्तै: प्रखाल निर्माण, रिटेनिङ वाल निर्माण) को अवलोकन, तथा विद्यालयहरूमा सञ्चालनमा रहेका इको–क्लबमार्फत वातावरणीय सचेतना अभिवृद्धि गरिरहेका विद्यार्थीहरूसँग अन्तरक्रिया गरिएको थियो।
यसैगरी जलदेवी क्षेत्रमा बजार व्यवस्थापन सम्बन्धी विषयमा व्यवस्थापन समितिसँग छलफल तथा युवा उद्यमीहरूसँग Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) समेत सञ्चालन गरिएको थियो।
यसका साथै स्थानीय सरकार, सहकारी संस्था तथा समुदाय समूहहरूसँग फलदायी छलफल सम्पन्न भई दिगो प्रभावका लागि सहकार्य र समन्वयलाई थप सुदृढ बनाइएको छ।
यस प्रक्रियामा सहयोग, समय र विश्वास प्रदान गर्नुहुने सम्पूर्ण सरोकारवाला तथा समुदायका सदस्यहरूप्रति हार्दिक आभार व्यक्त गर्दछौं।
हामी सबै मिलेर अझ सुन्दर, दिगो र उत्थानशील समुदाय निर्माणतर्फ अगाडि बढिरहेका छौं। 🌱

Under the coordination of CDM Nepal, an exposure visit was successfully conducted from April 1–4, 2026 (Chaitra 18–21, 2082) under the “Strengthening Urban Preparedness, Earthquake Preparedness and Response in Western Region of Nepal (SUPER II) )” project in Lumbini Province. The program was organized and led by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law, Lumbini Province.
During the visit, the delegation observed and learned about exemplary disaster risk management practices implemented by various institutions across the country. Key visits included the APF Disaster Management Training School, Kurintar; National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA); Juddha Barun Yantra Office of Lalitpur Metropolitan City; and the Local Emergency Operation Center (LEOC) of Kathmandu Metropolitan City.
On this occasion, Chief Executive of NDRRMA, Er. Dinesh Bhatt, and Joint Secretary Roshani Kumari Shrestha, along with other officials, shared insights on the authority’s initiatives and achievements in disaster management.
The study team comprised representatives from Lumbini Province ministries, ward chairpersons from local governments in Banke district, disaster focal persons, representatives from CDM Nepal, security personnel, and members of the SUPER-II project.

लुम्बिनी प्रदेश आन्तरिक मामिला तथा कानून मन्त्रालयका सचिव विनोद लामिछानेको नेतृत्वमा आएको टोलीले प्राधिकरणको अध्ययन भ्रमण गरेको छ । उक्त अवसरमा प्राधिकरणका कार्यकारी प्रमुख ई.दिनेश भट्ट, सहसचिव रोशनी कुमारी श्रेष्ठलगायतका पदाधिकारीले प्राधिकरणबाट विपद् व्यवस्थापनमा भएका कामहरुबारे जानकारी गराउनु भयो। अध्ययन टोलीमा प्रदेश मन्त्रालयका प्रतिनिधिहरु, बाँके जिल्लाका विभिन्न स्थानीय पालिकाका वडा अध्यक्ष, विपद् सम्पर्क व्यक्ति तथा प्रतिनिधिहरु, सुरक्षाकर्मी, 'शहरी विपद् तथा भूकम्पीय पूर्वतयारी परियोजना (SUPER-II)' का प्रतिनिधिहरुको सहभागिता थियो ।
