We’ve just wrapped up three powerful days of learning, reflection, and action with young Amnesty members from across Nepal .
Guided by the theme “Climate Justice and Civic Freedom: The Youth Agenda for a Just Future,” this year’s Mela created space for critical conversations on the climate crisis, shrinking civic space, digital rights, LGBTQI+ rights, and Nepal’s evolving human rights landscape.
From inspiring keynote addresses by lexlimbu and Monisha Chaudhary to deeply moving conversations with Surendra Khatri on the human cost of Nepal’s armed conflict, Digital Rights Nepal on digital safety, especially gender discrimination in online spaces, and Pratik Thapa on challenging LGBT+ myths, each session reminded us why youth voices matter now more than ever.

We marched not just for workers, but for justice, dignity, and equality.
Every step we took was a stand against exploitation and silence.
We believe labour is power and power must be respected.
Our voices rose for those unheard, unseen, and undervalued.
This rally was more than an event; it was a movement for change.🤝💥
