Background:
Community Improvement Forum (CIF) Nepal is a Non governmental organization, established in 1999. CIF
Nepal runs project related to community development, health, sanitation and education with strong focus on children. Community Improvement Forum (CIF) Nepal has been working for women up liftmen, empowerment and capacity enhancement programmes by collaborative approach through different development agencies, partners, line agencies such as UNODC, UNICEF, Germany Embassy, DDC Kavre, ARECOP,CRT/N, ENPHO, AEPC/ESAP/RRESC/REMREC, NRCS Kavre, Women development committee, ADRA, Women Development office and INGOs / NGOs as well. In the district the organisation has considered health and sanitation, disaster management, Renewable Energy Promotion and women empowerment as a core programmes. From its inception it has organized various community based activities and skill upgrade activities such as community development, sewing, agriculture trainings, HIV/AIDS and Drug awareness campaign and other income generating activities with close coordination of UNODC, ADRA Nepal. With the implementation of various communities development activities the organization has gained extensive experience and learnt to implement quality services understanding the needs of community people. To become a leading and responsible organization providing quality service for the community development.
2. To become a responsible organization for HIV / AIDS awareness, prevention advocacy and education programmes.
3. To become a leading organization for Water Sanitation, Disaster Mitigation and Drugs Demand Reduction.
4. To become a responsible organization for Social Equity and Justice. To improve the educational status of the poor school going children as well as out of school children in Kavre District.
2. To provide scholarships and educational materials to the under privileged-children from Kavre District.
3. To train youths, students, teachers, health workers, social mobilizers, FCHVs, FSWs, DUs / IDUs etc on HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention.
4. To disseminate the message on facts and myth about HIV/AIDS.
5. To reduce the problem of malnutrition, vaccination and education of children.
6. To enable people to enhance their economic status by providing them with skill based training on demanded areas in collaboration with different agencies.
7. To provide free formal and non-formal education to deprived dalit and marginalized and indigenous people.
8. To provide the opportunity to work on the basis on gender equity.
9. To support communities to form inclusive local water supply and sanitation user groups that can plan, implement and operate drinking water supply and sanitation infrastructure that delivers sustainable health, hygienic and productivity benefits to rural household.
10. To provide necessary support for the victims of natural and conflict calamity.

Values
CIF Nepal believes to provide social service in rural areas mobilizing local resources. The values of CIF Nepal are programmed to serve in VDCs following the Government development policies. Rural people have faith in the working out capabilities of CIF-Nepal. CIF Nepal is governed by its Executive Committee. It consists of 11 elected members which comprises of Chaiperson, Vice- Chaiman, Secretary, Treasurer, Joint-Secretary and 5 Executive Members. CIF Nepal has 3 members Advisory committee. Its governing body is General Assembly, Executive committee, Advisory Committee. Election process
