POETRY DAY 🌏

We had a wonderful day in our project.

We had the chance to do a silent walk in the nature to do a reflection about how the project and the event went.

Also Kelvin Kelvin Akpaloo gave us a workshop about Spoken Word, where we had the chance to write about Community and what is the meaning for us 🫂

In the night we did a poetry night session around the fire to share poetry and our poems created during the day next to the mountain 🏔️

We will never forget this day ❤️

🌍✨ WORLDWIDE VOLDA 2026 ✨🌍

On 18th June 2026, the community of Volda came together to celebrate diversity, culture, and connection at Worldwide Volda!

Created and delivered by Erasmus+ participants from 6 different European countries, this multicultural event was a gift to the people of Volda—an opportunity to experience the richness of different cultures from across Europe in one vibrant evening.

From interactive workshops and cultural performances to music, laughter, energy, and fun, Worldwide Volda transformed Uppheim into a space where people could meet, learn, share, and celebrate together.

💫 Our goal was simple:
To bring the community together and offer a multicultural experience that inspires understanding, friendship, and appreciation of our differences and similarities.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this celebration so special. Together, we showed that culture has the power to connect people beyond borders.

Youth exchange ✨ Voice of change 🌱

Three inspiring days of learning, sharing, and growing together through the power of storytelling! ✨

Day 1 was all about connections. We met participants from different backgrounds, got to know each other, and explored the program ahead. The atmosphere was filled with excitement, curiosity, and new beginnings.

On Day 2, we dived into the world of storytelling. We discovered what storytelling really is, how to create a meaningful story, and why stories have such a powerful impact on people. Through sharing personal experiences and group reflections, we learned that every person has a story worth telling. We ended the day with a wonderful evening together, strengthening the bonds within our group.

Day 3 focused on the power of storytelling to create understanding and connection. We explored how stories can inspire change and build empathy. We also started preparing for our open event, discussing what we need, how to organize it, and how to create a safe space where people can share and listen to real-life stories.

These three days reminded us that stories are more than words-they connect people, break stereotypes, and bring communities closer together. 💙 This project is co-funded by the European Commission

🌍📖 Voice of Change: Human Library Event

Join us on 18 June at 17:00 in Uppheim for a unique intercultural experience where stories become bridges between people.

As part of the international youth exchange project «Voice of Change», International Volda hosts 30 young people from 6 countries, who are coming together to share their experiences, perspectives, and artistic voices with the local community. With participants from diverse backgrounds, the event will create a unique space for dialogue, learning, and cultural exchange.

Come meet inspiring people, discover new perspectives, and be part of the community.
