📣 OPEN CALL FOR STORYTELLERS | BELGIUM 2027–2028
The International Storytelling Festival Alden Biesen is looking for storytellers from across Europe to join its festival programme in 2027 and 2028.
Held each April in Belgium, Alden Biesen is one of Europe’s leading multilingual storytelling festivals, welcoming hundreds of young people, adult language learners and storytelling audiences.
🌍 The festival presents storytelling in Dutch, German, English, French, Italian, Spanish and Swedish, and is particularly interested in the richness that native-language storytelling can bring to its programme.
📅 Festival dates:
13–17 April 2027
18–22 April 2028
Storytellers interested in being considered are invited to submit:
🎭 A CV
🎥 A link to a 10–15 minute video showing you performing in front of an audience
Applications will also help Alden Biesen build a wider European talent pool for future festival editions.
⏰ Deadline: 23 November 2026
A fantastic opportunity for storytellers interested in international performance, multilingual storytelling and connecting with audiences across cultures.
Please share widely with storytellers and storytelling networks who might be interested.
