Vi stør løn, men klarar endå ikkje by dei ghanesisk minsteløn.

The UN voted in favour of a resolution to formally phase out the commonly used 16th century Mercator world map. The resolution rightfully acknowledges that the map’s distortions contribute to a ‘symbolic minimisation’ of Africa, perpetuating historical biases. The resolution encourages governments, schools, tech companies and international organizations to use the Equal Earth projection going forward, which depicts Africa and other continents accurately. In the words of Togo’s foreign minister Robert Dussey who spearheaded the resolution, "a fair world begins with a fair map."

Alltid artig med sysken i same sport.

🌍🏆 Before Nico Williams became a World Cup champion, his parents crossed the Sahara Desert barefoot while carrying the hope of a better future.
In the early 1990s, Félix and María Williams left Ghana with almost nothing. Their journey toward Europe took them across the Sahara, where they endured extreme heat, freezing nights, hunger, thirst and constant danger.

María was pregnant with their first son, Iñaki, at the time.

There were moments when continuing must have seemed impossible. But they kept moving forward because they believed that somewhere beyond the desert, their children might have opportunities they had never known.

❤️ After reaching Melilla, the Spanish territory in North Africa, the couple eventually settled in northern Spain. Iñaki was born in Bilbao in 1994, while Nico was born eight years later in Pamplona.

The brothers grew up understanding that their lives had been built on sacrifice. Both developed a love for football, joined Athletic Club and eventually reached the highest level of the game, although they would later represent different countries internationally.

For Nico, one of the greatest moments of that journey arrived on July 19, 2026.

Spain faced defending champions Argentina in the FIFA World Cup final, and after 90 minutes without a goal, Nico entered the match as a substitute.

Then, in extra time, he helped create the moment that changed everything.

⚽ Nico delivered the pass that allowed fellow substitute Ferran Torres to score in the 106th minute, giving Spain a 1-0 victory and its second World Cup title.

For millions of people, it was a brilliant assist in the biggest match in football.

For the Williams family, it represented something much deeper.

It was the result of two parents who kept walking when their feet could barely carry them. It was the reward for years of sacrifice, uncertainty and faith in a future they could not yet see.

❤️ Nico lifted football’s greatest trophy, but his journey had begun long before he was born.

It began with his mother and father crossing a desert, believing that the suffering of one generation could create opportunities for the next.

From walking barefoot across the Sahara to helping Spain become World Champions, the Williams family’s story is a reminder that some victories begin years before the world ever sees them.

Today is a special day in Ghana. It is our Republic Day Celebration. Ghana 🇬🇭 is a beautiful country 😍🥰😍.

After our independence from Colonial rule on the 6th of March 1957, Ghana was declared a republic 3 years later, on the 1st of July 1960.

As we celebrate the day, the thought on my mind has been that of our beautiful children and young students who are striving everyday to excel and achieve greater heights. But even more, are the lives of our dedicated teachers who through all odds struggle and find reasons to come and help train and teach these kids.

On Sunday the 6th of July 2026, I will deliver a speech on behalf of our Queen Mother for Development, Nana Yaaya Kristin Hestmann Vinjerui on the importance of education, Human Rights and the way forward. The future is bright indeed

Once again, we have a duty to love and care for both the teachers and students who are going to the Senior High School next month. We need 3000 cedis, approximately 2700 kroner, for each of our 10 kindergarten teachers and 10 students. Making a total of 30000 cedis or approximately 27000 kroner.

We need your help to achieve this by 1st August 2026. We love you all!!! Y3daaase papaapa!! Mange takk!!! Thank you 😊 🙏 💓

Go Black Stars! 🇬🇭

The anti-LGBT+ bill is back in Ghana, and this time, it has stronger political backing. We stopped it before, and together we can stop it again. Sign now to protect LGBT+ rights.
