THE WORKSHOPS:
Every year young filmmakers from all over the world are attending our film workshops. They are divided in groups, and each group makes a short movie in 6 days, under the guidance of international profiled professional filmmakers. We encourage young filmmakers to tell their stories in a unique manner through our film workshops and, in the longer run, to get a chance to change the world through films. The film workshop week ends with the screening of the workshop films at Verdensteatret Kino in Tromsø, which is free to attend. In addition, we have a Film Music workshop for young musicians to create soundtracks for the workshop films. We also have a new technology workshop, called SEEK, which seeks to use cutting-edge new media to redefine the future of film. THE FILM FESTIVAL:
In October, NUFF screens the best short films made by young filmmakers from all over the world. The films have to be max. 20 minutes, and the filmmaker up to 26 years old. The selected film are screened at Verdensteatret Kino in Tromsø, and are in competition to win prizes in the International and Nordic categories.
