Five Years of UiS Aerospace!

On September 10th, 2021, UiS Aerospace was founded.

Five years later, that small beginning has grown into a strong organisation with ambitious projects, dedicated teams, and a community of students who share the same passion for space and rocketry.

From our first rockets to where we are today, every milestone has been made possible by the people who have been part of the journey.

We are excited for the years ahead and everything that is still to come. With new challenges, ambitious projects, and an incredible community by our side, we look forward to continuing to build, learn, and reach new heights together.

Happy 5th Birthday UiS Aerospace! 🚀

A historic day for European spaceflight!

Congratulations to on successfully reaching orbit with Spectrum from Andøya Spaceport!

A huge milestone for the European space industry and an exciting step towards a more independent European access to space.

And a special congratulations to on successfully sending their satellite to space! 🛰️
It is great to see Norwegian student-led space projects becoming part of moments like this.

For us at UiS Aerospace, this launch is especially exciting. Andøya Space ( )is not only a place we have been following closely. It is where we are aiming to take our own next big step.

Summer 2027. Andøya Space. Phoenix 2.

We are excited to see what comes next for Norwegian and European rocketry.

Congratulations to everyone involved! 🚀

Meet our Partner: CFturbo

We are very happy to have CFturbo supporting UiS Aerospace and our work on Phoenix 2!

CFturbo provides powerful tools for the design and development of turbomachinery, making their expertise highly relevant to our work in rocket propulsion and turbopump development.

We are grateful for their support and excited to have CFturbo as part of our journey toward our goal of reaching 100 km with Phoenix 2.

As part of our collaboration, we have been able to use CFturbo in our engineering and development work. However, due to confidentiality and our collaboration with SpaceLab, we cannot publicly share specific technical details or images from our testing and development activities.

Thank you, CFturbo, for supporting the next generation of aerospace engineers! 🚀

Four incredible days at ONS 2026 🚀

A huge thank you to Space Exploration Lab Space Lab for giving us the opportunity to share a stand at Xplore North (Hall 10) and be part of such an inspiring event. It was an amazing experience to meet so many interesting people, exchange ideas, and get a glimpse into the many different sides of the energy and technology industry.

We’re incredibly grateful for all the conversations, new connections, and impressions we’re taking with us from these four days.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, talked to us, shared their experiences, and showed interest in what we’re building. We’re excited to see where these new connections will take us! 🚀

Until next time, ONS! 💙

Looking Back on an Amazing Year!

This year has been filled with events, outreach activities, company visits, technical progress, new connections, and unforgettable moments as a team.

From Forskertorget to Spaceport Norway, Norstec Summit, NCAM, and many social activities in between, we’ve had the opportunity to learn, grow, and create lasting memories together.

None of this would have been possible without the people who make our organization what it is.

A huge thank you to our members for their enthusiasm and countless hours of work throughout the year. Thank you to our sponsors and partners for your trust and support, and to everyone in our community who has followed our journey, attended our events, and helped us grow.

We are proud of everything we have accomplished together and grateful for all the experiences, challenges, and successes that have shaped this year.

The journey continues and we’re excited for the next chapter. 🚀
