Outreach BeReal

On outreach in Uganda the team has had the opportunity to serve others, share the gospel, and share God’s love with the people. So far the team has been doing door to door evangelism, giving out bibles, crusades, running a mini DTS to young Ugandans, children’s ministry, renovating classrooms, Sunday church service, and much more.

The team has experienced God’s grace in everything they’ve done and have witnessed lives being touched by Him.

Looking for something to do this winter? Fall DTS is the place for you.

The heart of DTS is to know God and make Him known. DTS starts with 3 months of lecture where you dive deep into learning about who God is and His character. You learn about topics such as hearing God’s voice, worldview, relationships, Jesus, the Bible, and many more. After lecture phase, you get the opportunity to put making God known into practice. You will travel to the nations with the mission of preaching the Gospel, praying for the sick, and helping those in need.

At Fall DTS, you will experience living in an international community in our beautiful city of Skien, Norway. During this time, you also get to visit Iceland, explore Jesus in sports, coffee, community, and youth. You will get the opportunity to practice evangelism and dive deep into the word of God.

Where will you go?

With RISK approaching, these are the remaining countries that need to be taken. John wrote in Revelation 7 that he saw a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. Jesus is worthy of the praise of people from every nation and language. He is worthy of the praise of people from all over Europe. This is why we want to go, to preach the Gospel all over Europe that salvation comes from The Lord. Where you go? Pick a nation from this list!

Are you training to be a plumber, electrician, builder — or working with your hands in any trade — and wondering how your faith fits in the workplace? Then Changemaker DTS is for you! This Discipleship Training School (DTS) with YWAM Skien is an 8-month journey designed for young adults who want to grow deeper with God and learn how to live out their faith in everyday life, especially in the workplace. This tailor-made DTS is built for you who work or wants to work in practical trades. It includes teaching on the Bible, missions, and discipleship. This is followed by a 2-month outreach where you’ll put into action what you’ve learned in the nations. You will get to practice what you learn and get real-world experiences in your trade throughout the DTS. You will learn to serve and grow on the worksite, whether you’re just starting out or already working. Changemaker DTS will equip you to follow Jesus boldly and bring His light into your work and the world.

*Licenses are M2, M4, and M6 Norwegian certificates. Depending on country of residence, you may need further documentation.

Revelation 7:9 says “After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands.”

We believe the Gospel is for all people. Currently we have two teams on outreach. One team is serving in Uganda, known as “the Pearl of Africa.” The other team is serving in South Asia. Keep both of our teams in prayer as they continue to serve and bring the Gospel to these nations.

On the 19th to 23rd of June, we will send one team to every nation of Europe at the same time.

We will gather to be sent from Skien Friday night, then we fly out to all the different nations Saturday morning. We will share the gospel, care for people, pray, and preach hope in every single nation. Tuesday, we will all gather back in Skien to celebrate what God has done and seek His heart for Europe.

You can sign up alone or together with friends. If you would like to lead the team yourself we could have a chat about what that means. If not we will have two team leaders that take care of travel, program, and accommodation. You pay a sign up fee that covers the time in Skien in the beginning and the end, the rest of the cost will be organized in your team.

You can pick a country when you sign up, and you get a final approval after that.

Dette er hva det betyr for meg å leve ut min tro på arbeidsplassen.

Som elektriker omgås jeg med mange som ikke er vant til kristen tro. Derfor er det ekstra viktig for meg å kunne være tydelig på det jeg tror på. For min del kan det bety å lese meg opp på bibelen slik at jeg kan være forberedt på spørsmål fra kollegaer, kunder eller andre håndverkere jeg møter igjennom en arbeidsdag. Jeg fokuserer mest på å være åpen om at jeg er kristen, men uten at det skal oppleves som at jeg presser det på dem. Da åpner det ofte opp til at de kan spørre meg om troen min og hvorfor jeg tror på det jeg tror på. Forstå meg rett, jeg har ikke påtvunget høytlesing fra bibelen i lunchbrakken, men jeg er tydelig på å ha på meg et kors eller å ha en bibel liggende i frontruten på arbeidsbilen for at det kan være en samtalestarter.
Min erfaring er at det er mange håndverkere som er nysgjerrige på troen min og liker å finne ut mer om Jesus og hvorfor han er viktig for meg.
 
På Changemaker DTS ønsker vi å gi deg praktiske verktøy på hvordan man kan stå trygt i troen sin og hvordan man kan sette Gud først  - også på arbeidsplassen.

I samarbeid med lokale menigheter i Grenland vil vi arrangere en workshop for deg som ønsker å lære å dele evangeliet med mennesker☝️

Dette vil foregå gjennom flere lørdager hvor vi samles for undervisning og evangelisering.
Det er bare å komme akkurat som du er - om du har vært med på evangelisering før eller ikke har ingenting å si. Gud vil bruke deg🫵
