The aim and purpose of the association “Aktive barn på Framnes” is to improve the outdoor facilities close to Skagerak International School and the surrounding area of Framnes by means of new, publically accessible equipment dedicated to stimulating physical activity and outdoor life in general. The members of the Association are mainly parents, relatives or friends of the Skagerak International S
chool students who want the best for the kids at school and in the neighborhood. They are aware that the children spend most of the daytime in the Framnes area and therefore are willing to contribute for its improvement. The Association has the mandate to seek funding and sponsors for various planned improvement projects in the area. Improving the whole Framnes area is, however, a colossal task. The Association is therefore focusing on the Skagerak International School playground in the first place, given the fact that the grounds are open to all outside school hours. Work done here is therefore an implicit improvement of the whole area and a plus to all Framnes children. All in all approximately 700 children will profit from the project. We wish to transform the uninteresting and non-stimulating place into a modern playground and activity area where the children can play safely and develop their physical abilities. By supporting the Association you have the opportunity to contribute and be involved in this development process and to engage actively in social responsibility.
