On this year's Christmas party, our Club had the pleasure to receive two new members: Hanne W. Rostad and Kenneth Muhumuza. Welcome to Oslo International Rotary Club, dear friends!

The party has been a wonderful celebration of friendship and joy of making a difference.

Everything about our beautiful event was a success thanks to our wonderful host, Betty Berg!

We used the opportunity to reflect upon how lucky we are to have eachother, and to be engaged together in such important work!

May you all have wonderful holidays together with your dear ones!

Our Club has celebrated the 24th of October, World Polio Day, by distributing information about our work in Rotary with , and about how people can support us. Maridalen Rotary Club, Oslo Rotary Club and Rotaract Oslo International have joined our efforts. We are grateful for everyone who took the time to stop for a moment and talk to us.

34 students are leaving soon from Norway for one fantastic year of , to make new friends, experience new cultures, and spread joy in the world. Oslo International Rotary Club, and Oslo Rotary Club have the pleasure to be represented by Ingeborg, who will spend one year in Australia.

On the 8th of May, our Club held a fundraising event at Merkur Bar in Oslo.

Tom Christensen from Swirl Wines presented and served several wines from various parts of Portugal, tapas were provided by Mersmak, while Robin Lee, our club member and host, made sure that everybody is enjoying the event.

What a wonderful evening og winetasting, fundraising, new friendship and fun! The event was a success, and we are looking forward to repeat it in the fall!

The third day of for this Rotary Year starts full of energy, and is here with Club President Gabriele Ghiglio and Incoming Club Secretary Olav Espeland as attendees, and Past President Irina Anca Tanase as facilitator.

We start the day with a presentation about the importance of strategic planning, a good opportunity to reflect upon Rotary's mission and vision:

Women are active participants in Rotary, serving their communities in increasing numbers and serving in leadership positions in Rotary. The 1989 Council on Legislation vote to admit women into Rotary clubs worldwide remains a watershed moment in the history of Rotary.
