Norwegian-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce - NUCC

Norwegian-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce - NUCC A Charter was approved and the Board was elected. There has been little knowledge of the possibility for Norwegian investors in Ukraine.

Norwegian-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce is a non-governmental, non-profit organization which facilitates the establishment of relations, as well as the organization of contacts, the exchange of the information and experience between Ukraine and Norway. The Norwegian – Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce (NUCC) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization which was formally founded at an open meeting a

t the Telenor on the 20th of November 2008. On the 5th of January 2009 the Norwegian – Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce was registered according to Norwegian Law as an association with its headquarter in Oslo. The working language of the Chamber is English, which is used both for official correspondence and networking meetings. Ukraine has been considered a politically and economically unstable country with low investment indicators. Our first priority will be to change this attitude by delivering information on business possibilities to potential investors. Our aim is in development of trade and economic relations and investment processes between representatives of enterprise structures of Ukraine and Norway. Increasing contacts and exchange of experience between existing and potential investors from Norway and Ukraine through networking and membership meetings as well as newsletters on economic and political situation in Ukraine and Norway. Also, increasing contacts and exchange of experience between existing and potential investors from Norway and Ukraine throughout networking and membership meetings as well as newsletters on economic and political situation in Ukraine and Norway. PROJECT:
From autumn 2013 to summer 2016 NUCC runs a project, named "Business Development and Good Corporate Governance in Ukraine", funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The purpose of the project is to help establish better understanding among young Ukrainian entrepreneurs and managers, and among businesses working with Norwegian counterparts the importance of good corporate governance and transparency for success. Another outcome of the project is a business guide for Ukraine and a number of MoUs (Memorandum of Understanding) between Norwegian and Ukrainian businesses. The MoU's intention are to increase trade and cooperation between Norway and Ukraine. Is your company interested in this, or do you know about companies that could be interested in opening a new market for import/export, find a business partner in Norway/Ukraine, or would be interested in outsourcing some of their production? Organizations, universities, institutions that are interested in cooperation with a similar player in Ukraine/Norway are also welcome to contact NUCC. MoUs are only letters of intent, but the goal is that the agreements will lead to fruitful cooperation and more business, and boost the trading figures between Ukraine and Norway, and build stronger relations between our two countries. Norway strengthens support for Ukraine with NOK 1.2 billion for maritime drones

The Norwegian Government has announced a new allocation of NOK 1.2 billion under the Nansen Programme for the development and procurement of maritime drones for Ukraine. The initiative will include deliveries from both Norwegian and Ukrainian industry, further strengthening industrial cooperation between our two countries.

Maritime drones have become an important capability for Ukraine, supporting reconnaissance, defensive operations, and the protection of maritime routes in the Black Sea. The new funding reflects Norway’s continued commitment to Ukraine’s security and resilience.

For the Norwegian-Ukrainian business community, this announcement also highlights the growing opportunities for collaboration in advanced technology, maritime innovation, and defence-related industries. The combination of Norway’s world-leading maritime expertise and Ukraine’s rapidly evolving technological capabilities creates a strong foundation for future partnerships.

Ukraine was on the agenda at the annual conference of TEK Norge on May 26.

Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation, Oleksandr Bornyakov, shared insights on innovation during wartime and how Ukraine continues to advance digital transformation under extraordinary circumstances.

Norwegian Minister of Digitalisation, Karianne Tung, also joined the discussion, highlighting what other countries can learn from Ukraine’s rapid digitalisation of public services and its ability to adapt quickly in times of crisis.

Today, Ukraine celebrates Vyshyvanka Day — a special occasion dedicated to the traditional embroidered shirt that has become a symbol of identity, resilience, and cultural heritage. 🇺🇦

A vyshyvanka is much more than clothing. For centuries, embroidery patterns varied from region to region in Ukraine, with colors, symbols, and ornaments carrying unique meanings connected to family, protection, prosperity, and nature.

Interesting facts about vyshyvanka:
• Each Ukrainian region developed its own embroidery style, techniques, and color combinations.
• Traditionally, embroidery was done by hand and often passed down through generations.
• Vyshyvanka Day is celebrated annually on the third Thursday of May and was first initiated by university students in 2006.
• Today, the vyshyvanka is recognized worldwide as a symbol of Ukrainian unity, dignity, and cultural continuity.

On this day, we celebrate Ukrainian traditions, strength, and identity.
Happy Vyshyvanka Day from the Norwegian-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce! 💙💛

Yesterday, our Managing Director, Kjartan Tveitnes, took part in a podcast discussion together with Prof. Yuliya Chernykh and the UA-KLAR team at the Universitetet i Innlandet (INN).

The conversation focused on investment, cooperation, and the importance of creating practical frameworks that make collaboration between Norwegian and Ukrainian partners easier and more accessible.

For us at NUCC, these conversations matter. Every day, we see growing interest in Ukraine from Norwegian businesses and organisations — and we also see how important dialogue, trust, and knowledge-sharing are in turning that interest into meaningful cooperation.

We are grateful to the UA-KLAR team for the invitation and for creating space for open and thoughtful discussions on the future of Norwegian–Ukrainian cooperation 🇳🇴🇺🇦
Looking forward to hearing the final podcast episode!
