Free and open to everyone. Sykkelkjøkkenet Oslo (Oslo Bike Kitchen) er et frivillig initiativ som søker å øke bevisstheten rundt sykling og enkel sykkelreparasjon i Oslo. Vi formidler praktisk kunnskap om hvordan man selv kan reparere og vedlikeholde sin sykkel, slik at både sykler og sykkelglede vedlikeholdes og spres. Kom innom med sykkelen din i

åpningstidene våre, så hjelper vi deg med å fikse sykkelen din. Hjelpen er gratis, og sykkeldeler får du billig av oss, eller tar med selv. Vi arrangerer også mekkekurs med jevne mellomrom – disse annonseres her på Facebook. Sykkelkjøkkenet Oslo føyer seg inn i en lang rekke av lignende initiativer verden over, hvor fokuset ligger på bevisstgjøring av menneskers og lokalsamfunns evne til å tilegne seg og spre nyttig og praktisk kunnskap. SKO inviterer alle interesserte til å bli med på å skape en arena for felles læring og samfunnsutvikling. Om du har lyst til å jobbe frivillig hos oss, send oss gjerne en melding eller kom innom for en prat! Det er ikke nødvendig med tidligere erfaring. Alt som kreves er entusiasme og lærevillighet! We’re proud to have a really diverse community, and to be a place where everyone is welcome 🫶🏼✨🔧🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🚲

Bicycles played a big part in the women’s suffrage movement at the beginning of the 19th century, and continue to provide an accessible and relatively low threshold and environmentally friendly way to move around.

Our work helps put more people in our community on bicycles, giving them freedom of movement and empowering them to learn bicycle mechanics so they can fix issues themselves.

Oslo Sykkelkjøkkenet is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 17-19 from Spring to Fall and we’re always open to bringing on new volunteers. There’s no previous knowledge required, and this April, we’re having 3 special training sessions for new volunteers 📚🔧

The day we’ve all been waiting for is finally in sight!
Sykkelkjøkkenet will be open to the public again on April 9th!

Stop in and get your bike tuned up for Spring 🌷🚲

We’ll have limited open shop days until May 12 (only Thursdays) so that we can spend some time training our new volunteers. Starting May 12 we will be open on Tuesdays AND Thursdays 17-19 for the rest of the season, as well as some weekend dates, (yet to be announced).

We always post here on instagram about any extra open days, so be sure to follow us to stay updated!

This is our last open week for 2025! Stop by to say hello, or get some winter prep done on your bike if you’re hardcore like that and plan on biking all winter.

We’ll be spending the cold season drinking coffee ☕️, and planning some exciting new opportunities for next year🚲🛠️✨.

Keep following us on Instagram and Facebook to find out when we open in 2026, and what kinds of things we’ll have going on in the spring.

We’ve had an incredible season this year. The vibes have been amazing, the days have been busy, and we’ve gotten many new volunteers - wonderful people donating their time to the community and picking up new, very useful skills.

We look forward to putting even more bicycles on the road and meeting more of our community next season
