Founded in Bergen in 2004, the initiative spread quickly to other maritime hubs. The global YoungShip network today counts more than 2.500 individual members in Oslo, Møre, Haugesund, Stavanger, Kristiansand, Singapore and Brazil (Rio). YoungShip Oslo was founded in 2005. YoungShip´s core purpose is to provide a competence and network enhancing arena for our members, and to promote the young profe
ssionals in the global maritime industry. We also have a particular focus on developing the young generations´ knowledge and interest for environmental developments, innovation and entrepreneurship. Our sister organisations in Greece, New York, London, Australia and Hong Kong are inspired by the YoungShip concept. All members of these organisations are entitled to attend events organized by other branches & sister organisations.
