We wrapped it!!.
Here is what the three days Kiambu national polytechnic health week looked like. Organizations came together to create awareness on various health aspects affecting young people in the school community.

As Scandicare, we created awareness on disability, with a goal to demystify the myths around disability with facts and statistics.

We also trained the young people on menstrual health, demonstrating the use of the various menstrual products.
This is how healthy communities are created, through collaborations and human centred techniques.

Setting camp at Kiambu National Polytechnic for 3 days!
We’re excited to be at Kiambu National Polytechnic (KINAP) from 4th–6th February 2026 as part of the institution’s Termly Health Week.
During these three days, we’ll be conducting:
1.Disability awareness
2. Menstrual health awareness
3. Mental health sensitisation
This is another opportunity for Scandicare to engage the student community on the importance of acknowledging and respecting diversity, and to promote a more inclusive and harmonious society where persons with disabilities can thrive.

These photos tell it all!!

Guided by this year’s theme, “Fostering disability-inclusive societies for advancing social progress,” the day was filled with joy, connection, and meaningful moments in nature.

Our partnership with Serea Camp - Masai Mara - Kenya remain committed to creating spaces where children with disabilities can explore, learn, and experience the world without barriers. Inclusion is not just an event — it is a continuous commitment to ensuring every child has equal opportunities to grow, participate, and shine.

Let’s keep building a society where everyone belongs, and every ability is celebrated.

From 2nd–4th December 2025, we gather at Serea Camp, Masai Mara to mark the International Day for Persons with Disabilities.
Under the theme “Fostering Disability Inclusive Societies for Advancing Social Progress,” this event shines a light on the importance of equal participation, accessible environments, and supportive communities.

Hosted by the Serea Camp Foundation in collaboration with ScandiCare, this gathering brings together children with disabilities, special needs teachers, disability advocates, and partners committed to building a future where every person is seen, heard, and empowered.

It is also a trip aimed at promoting inclusive leisure especially for children with disabilities.

As we begin the 16 Days of Activism against gender based violence, Scandicare stands firm in our commitment to safeguard the dignity, safety, and rights of every person with a disability. For too long, gender-based violence has thrived in silence — especially in spaces where the voices of persons with disabilities are ignored, dismissed, or unheard.

This year, we are raising that volume. We are breaking the silence around the unique forms of violence and discrimination faced by persons with disabilities, and we are calling for a world where inclusion itself becomes a tool of protection. Because when we center accessibility, we strengthen justice. When we listen to every voice, we dismantle the systems that allow violence to persist.

Scandicare stands united with survivors, advocates, caregivers, and communities. Together, we shine a light on the hidden stories, confront harmful norms, and affirm one truth: dignity is a right — and no one should be left behind in the fight to end GBV.
