The current education system in Kenya is beautifully evolving encouraging learners not only to read and write, but to explore, create, and develop practical skills for life.

At Life4Kids Children’s Home, we have embraced this vision by creating a nurturing environment that supports holistic growth. We believe education is the great equalizer, and every child deserves the opportunity to discover their full potential.

After only a few weeks with us, the change in him is something you can feel, not just see.
The smile that was once missing is now bright and alive. The fear in his eyes is slowly being replaced with courage. His small body, once weak and vulnerable, is now full of energy and life.

This precious little boy, only two years old, was rescued from the streets during the heavy floods in Kenya. Exposed, and at great risk, his life could have been lost. But by grace, we found him in time. Today, he is safe. He is loved. He belongs.

It is difficult to put into words what this truly means. A life that could have been gone… now has a future.

Being able to do homework outdoors after school is such a refreshing and enriching experience.

At Life4Kids, our boys attend a standard private school, and each evening they return home with assignments to complete. We are grateful to have a beautiful outdoor space under the trees where they can comfortably work on their homework, freely engage in discussions, and support one another in their learning.

In addition, they have access to research materials and a library, giving them even greater opportunities to grow academically and develop a love for learning.

We do not take these moments for granted. It is truly a blessing to provide such an environment where the boys can thrive both academically and socially.

The weather in Kenya has not been very favorable for outdoor activities lately. With energetic and active boys, having a safe and creative space to keep them engaged during this rainy season is truly a blessing.

At Life4Kids, we are deeply grateful to have a dedicated music room and a spacious living room where the boys can play, learn, and express themselves even when the outdoors is wet. Our music room has become more than just a room with instruments it is a therapy space. As the boys sing, drum, and play, healing quietly takes place. Music gives them a voice, restores joy, and gently helps mend past trauma.

This weekend, we were honored to receive our dear friends from Norway 🇳🇴. The house was filled with laughter, music, and beautiful moments of connection. Seeing the boys interact freely and joyfully with our visitors reminded us once again how far they have come.

We are also incredibly thankful for the solar system installed in our home. Even when the area experiences power outages, our home remains bright and stable. This has made a tremendous difference in the boys’ daily lives, ensuring comfort, safety, and continuity in their routines.

Today I had the great privilege of sharing about the work we do at Life4Kids Children’s Home in Kenya with my home church here in Norway.

Together with Inger, one of our dedicated board members from Life4Kids Norge, we had the opportunity to speak about the lives being transformed, the hope being restored, and the faithfulness of God in the journey of caring for vulnerable boys in Kenya.

I am deeply grateful to the pastor and the entire church family for opening your hearts to us. Your love, prayers, encouragement, and continued support mean more than words can express. Standing with us in this mission is not something we take for granted. You are truly part of the story of every child whose life is being changed.

From the Strain to the Reign

Today, we celebrate a powerful testimony of hope, resilience, and transformation.
Mike, one of our own at Life4Kids, has officially graduated today a milestone that fills our hearts with deep gratitude and pride.

Mike’s journey began on the streets, where life offered him very little as a young child. Through rescue, care, and restoration at Life4Kids, he was given a second chance. He went to school, embraced discipline and purpose, and pursued his dreams with determination. Today, Mike stands as a police officer, succeeding in life and serving his community with honor.

His story is a living reminder that no child is beyond hope and that when love, opportunity, and faith come together, destinies are rewritten.
