Today we had the honor of celebrating Raksha Bandhan with our local firefighters. This festival is about expressing love, respect, and gratitude towards those who protect us.
The firefighters were very welcoming and appreciated the gesture. We tied rakhi to them, performed aarti, and offered Indian sweets and flowers. In return, they surprised us with a small gift, which touched us deeply.
They also gave us a tour of the fire station, showed us the fire trucks and equipment, and explained their work in detail. We even had the chance to ask them many curious questions about their job, which made the visit even more memorable.
By tying rakhi to our firefighters, we wanted to thank them for their courage, service, and dedication to keeping our community safe. 🙏❤️

On April 22, 2025, something horrifying happened in Pahalgam, Kashmir.
Something the world cannot afford to ignore. Something that shakes the very soul of humanity.

A group of innocent tourists families, friends, people from different walks of life were enjoying the beauty of Baisaran valley. But what followed was not a tragedy of conflict, but of hatred.

Armed terrorists stopped the tourists, checked their IDs, and asked questions to confirm their religion.

They forced men to strip, to check if they were circumcised, a disturbing and dehumanising method to identify non-Muslims.
And then, they opened fire.
But not indiscriminately.
They targeted non-Muslims. Hindus. Tourists. Civilians. People who had nothing to do with any conflict.

Over 28 people are now dead.
Killed not for what they did but simply for who they were.

And yet, what do we see in much of the global media?
Words like “rebels.”
Narratives of “indiscriminate fire.”
Articles that twist the truth into ambiguity, erasing the voices of eyewitnesses, and the agony of survivors.
This is how Hinduphobia works.
This is how Hindu suffering gets diluted, ignored, and forgotten.

They called The Kashmir Files a lie.
They called it propaganda.
They said the 1990 exodus of Kashmiri Pandits was exaggerated.
But this week, history repeated itself.
With blood, with bullets, and with the same brutal ideology.

Let this be clear:
This is not a Hindu-Muslim issue.
This is a human rights issue.
Because no faith, no belief, no identity deserves to be punished with death.

To the global media: Do better.
To our generation: Wake up.
To every human: Speak up.

We mourn the lives lost.
We stand for truth.
We demand justice.
And we will not stay silent.

🕉 Never Again. Never Forgotten.

“NHSF organized a refreshing yoga session at Trondheim, to help students unwind before exams, featuring standing & sitting poses followed by calming pranayama. Great to see students participate—some even trying yoga for the first time and thoroughly enjoying the experience.

On the ninth day of Navratri, Mother Divine takes the form of Siddhidatri. Siddhi means ‘fulfillment’  or ‘perfection’ and datri means ‘giver’ or ‘awarder’. This Goddess bestows abilities that help achieve success to those who pray to her, and she is worshipped by beings of the three worlds – devas or gods, Asuras or demons and humans.

When we worship Siddhidatri Devi, the Divine energy enables miracles to happen in life. This energy makes the impossible, possible. We are able to think out of the box, and go beyond the reasonable and logical mind. This ability to see farther and wider beyond time and space  helps us achieve unimaginable things in life.

The eighth form, Mahagauri, is one of the most revered and significant incarnations of the goddess. Unlike her fiercer forms, Mahagauri represents the embodiment of purity, serenity, and spiritual wisdom. She is the goddess who symbolizes tranquility, intelligence, and the inner peace that follows the destruction of evil and ignorance. Mahagauri’s divine characteristics and her symbolism offer important insights into the path of spiritual purification and enlightenment.

On the seventh day of Navratri, Mother Divine takes the form of Kaalaratri. She is one of the most ferocious and destructive forms of Durga Devi. Kaala means ‘time’ as well as ‘black’, and ratri means ‘night’. The Devi is worshipped as the destroyer of ignorance and remover of sorrow. This form of the Devi depicts the dark and violent side of life. Appearing in one of her fiercest and most terrorizing forms, She evokes fear. She uses this form to destroy evil powers like negativity, cruelty and ignorance.

Maa Katyayani, the sixth form of Navadurga, embodies strength and courage. She is often depicted riding a lion, a symbol of ultimate power and fearlessness, wielding a sword as she confronts evil forces. The legend speaks of her creation from the collective energies of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva to vanquish the demon king Mahishasura, highlighting her role as a divine warrior in the cosmic order.
