HERMANA OF THE WEEK

Christine Pabuaya Kaisen from Stavanger, Norway, is a proud and devoted mother of four whose life has been shaped by faith, service, and dedication to her community.

From 2007 to 2009, she served as a Volunteer Dance Teacher with the Dancesport Team in Cebu City. As part of the primary and secondary dance team, she participated in the historic dance event recorded in the Guinness World Record on June 27, 2009. Her deep love for dance reflects her discipline, grace, and commitment, qualities she now carries as she prepares to serve as a Hermana for the upcoming Sinulog celebration.

In 2017, she was honored as Queen Elena in Stavanger, a meaningful milestone that reflected her devotion and active participation in cultural and religious traditions.

Her journey of leadership, service, and faith continues as she steps forward as a Hermana, embracing the responsibility with humility, strength, and wholehearted dedication to the Sinulog celebration.

Our First Hermano Mayor of the Week is Mr. Dexter Pontañeles, a resident of Oslo, Norway, and a dedicated advocate of Filipino community initiatives in Norway.

He is a proud co-founder of Bisdak i Norge and the founder of the Filipino Engineers and IT Professionals (FEIT), organizations that actively promote unity, professional growth, and cultural engagement among Filipinos abroad.

Originally from Leyte, Philippines, Mr. Pontañeles is honored to express his deep faith and devotion to the Señor Santo Niño through his role as Hermano Mayor.
