✨ Celebrating 10 Years of Indian Rhythms & Over 40 Years of Cultural Legacy ✨
What an unforgettable evening filled with memories, laughter, gratitude, stories, and so much love.
This celebration was about much more than marking 10 years of Indian Rhythms. It was a celebration of a journey that began in 1986 with Shikha Chandra and a family dedicated to keeping Indian culture alive and growing in Norway.
Through dance and music, this work created more than performances and stages. It created a safe space for children and young people growing up between cultures — a place to belong, to connect, to understand their heritage, and to proudly embrace who they are.
Many of the children who once walked through our doors have now become doctors, veterinarians, engineers, teachers, bankers, business owners, artists, and so much more. That may be one of the greatest achievements of all.
This evening was also a tribute to everyone who has been part of this journey — every dancer, every student, every parent, every volunteer, every supporter, every pioneer, and every silent person working behind the scenes. Because without students there would be no academy, and without community there would be no journey.
Special thanks to Najma Kareem to always been there and support us. 🙏
To Indian Rhythms board: Christine Engh, Anupam Chandra, Dennis Røller, Vandna Sharma and mom.
Thank you for being part of our story, for your trust, and for helping us preserve and celebrate culture across generations.
The journey continues ❤️
