While we didn't meet our fundraising goal this time, the need is still very real. I've decided to personally use some of my salary to purchase some of the first round of supplies. Urgent Appeal: Help "Hope for the Least Ones" (HFLO) Equip 20 Vulnerable Children for School!

Your support means the world to "Hope for the Least Ones" (HFLO)! As many of you know, our mission is to create a Uganda where all orphans and vulnerable children have access to quality education, care, and opportunities, empowering them to lead healthy, fulfilling, and productive lives. We strongly believe that education is the key to breaking cycles of poverty, enabling these children to not only help themselves but also uplift their communities in the future.

This month, July, we're heading to the villages to provide essential scholastic materials and vital sanitary pads to 20 children. We're starting with this manageable number to ensure we can provide dedicated support, and we hope to expand our reach as more funds become available. The need is immense, and every bit of help makes a direct impact!

Why Your Support is Crucial Now
Imagine the joy and confidence a child feels when they have the tools they need to learn. For many of the children we serve, basic items like books, pens, and pencils are luxuries. Without them, their ability to participate in school and learn is severely hampered. Furthermore, for our young girls, access to sanitary pads is not just about hygiene; it's about dignity and ensuring they don't miss valuable school days. Your contribution directly provides these fundamental resources, enabling these children to fully engage in their education and build a brighter future.

While uniforms, shoes, and school bags are also critical needs that we aim to address in future initiatives, our immediate focus is on ensuring these children have the foundational supplies to start learning effectively.

Here's What We Need for Our Upcoming Trip:
To equip our initial 20 children with vital learning tools, we're looking for:

Books: At least a dozen per child, totalling 20 dozen books.

Pens: 6 pens per child, for a total of 120 pens.

Pencils: 120 pencils.

Sanitary Pads: 4 packets per girl (for our 10 girls), totaling 40 packets of sanitary pads.

**A Mother's Quiet Strength**

The dust swirled gently around us as I sat with her on the worn mat, her children clustered close. Her eyes, though etched with sorrow since her husband's passing, held a fierce love as she spoke of their struggles. Each word painted a vivid picture: the gnawing hunger, the children's bare feet on the cold ground, the ache of not being able to send them to school. Caring for the Weak

God commands us to care for the weak. It is one of his enduring refrains throughout Scripture. The all-powerful Creator of the universe sees every need and watches over every single vulnerable person on earth. One of the powerful ways that God shows care for the disadvantages is by making it a priority for his people to help them.

Leviticus 25:35: “If your brother becomes poor and cannot maintain himself with you, you shall support him as though he were a stranger and a sojourner, and he shall live with you.
