Online survey for young people: Your voice matters.
We invite you to take part in a short 5-minute anonymous survey that explores how young people across Europe engage with democracy.

Your input will help youth workers, organizations, and institutions better understand the needs and perspectives of young people, and strengthen future initiatives that support youth participation.

Thank you for contributing to this important effort.

Transforming Youth Work in Local and European context

From 24–30 October 2025, PVN Norway is organising an international training course that brings together passionate youth workers from 10 countries to strengthen their skills, exchange experiences, and explore innovative ways to engage and empower young people across Europe. 💫

Day 1 Highlights
We kicked off by getting to know each other, sharing stories, and building the foundation for collaboration. Participants began connecting ideas and shaping potential youth projects that can create a real impact in their communities. 🤝💡

Youth work is all about creating spaces where young people can grow, express themselves, and take action for positive change.

In the face of economic uncertainty, political polarization, and growing threats to democracy, young people from across Europe came together in Kristiansand, Norway, during the KRS European Youth Forum. Over several days, 100 youth delegates exchanged ideas, concerns, and solutions for safeguarding democracy and building a more inclusive Europe.

Among them were the participants of our Y-LEAD project, who actively contributed with their voices, ideas, and experiences. Together with their peers from 9 other countries, they co-created a Call to Action – a document that reflects the urgent concerns, lived realities, and hopes of young people today.

This Call to Action is more than just words.
It is a guideline for decision-makers, legislators, and stakeholders to ensure that young people are not only heard, but actively included in shaping Europe’s democratic future.

The message is clear: a democracy that fails to engage its youth is a democracy at risk. Now is the time to listen, to act, and to integrate youth perspectives into policymaking at every level.

During the Study Visit “Transforming Youth Work: From Ideas to Action in Local and European Contexts” study visit, we had the honor of visiting the Municipality of Kristiansand in Norway

We explored the Kristiansand Democracy Week, learning how local, national, and European actors come together for this important event and most importantly, how young people are engaged as active participants in strengthening democracy. We also exchanged ideas on opportunities for future collaboration and participation.

Later, at FIDA Kristiansand, .norge we turned our focus to the Erasmus+ Programme, its priorities, and ways to engage. Together, we began shaping ideas for the next phase of our project, ensuring it will continue to empower youth and build stronger connections across Europe.
