What can we even tell about the last week of August? Unintentionally ran during a full moon and can it be enough to describe what we have lived together? 🌕

This group, the work, and the space were magic. Only us and the cows can understand what does ‘magic’ mean in this context. ✨ thank you for being one of the most wonderful groups we worked with, and one of the most sincere experiences we have lived! Words can’t be enough ✨

This Art Residency Program was organized by Yellow vs. Blue from August 26th to 31st, 2026 in Koppang, Norway. The program brought together artists and creatives from 12 countries, and focused on the intersection of mental health and artistic expression, equipping participants with creative, non-formal education methodologies drawing on Theatre of the Oppressed and Art Therapy principles, to apply in their personal growth, community work, and initiatives. (And those all are enough to lead to create such a beautiful community, and helped exploring our personal emotions, and to transfer the learning back home).

Thanks to everyone who contributed to make this program so impactful and huge success. 🙌🏼

That work would not have been possible without the amazing food and work of our beautiful hardworking chef volunteer Andrés (best food ever)! And special thanks to amazing Samir for assisting him and making this such a smooth experience for us all 💛🫶🏼

Special thanks to Lions Clubs International, Folkeakademiet, Frivillig.no and Stor-Elvdal kommune for their support to the Art Residency Program in Koppang, Stor-Elvdal 🇳🇴

We are so glad to bring artistic projects to this beautiful village 🫶🏼
Enjoy these photos for now, and we have more moments to share later 💛

Apply now to join our kitchen family in Norway 🇳🇴👩‍🍳🧑‍🍳

Can we really run an art residency or any program in general without good food? Could anyone actually focus, create, or connect on an empty stomach? We can’t think twice, that is a big no 🤯🍳

We always believe in a sentence during our programs: never underestimate the power of the kitchen.

The people behind the meals are creating a huge impact by their time, efforts and hard work, so we have immense respect for kitchen teams because, honestly, nothing we do would be possible without them! 💛

If you love preparing healthy, delicious, and nutritious meals, want to spend part of your summer in Norway in a former farm house, where it is located in a farm in rural Norway, which is a home for 100 cows, and are excited to share your love for food while making awesome new international friends, and also maybe you want to gain more experience in international programs as a cook? Then this is for you. 🇳🇴

What do we cover for the kitchen volunteer?

Accommodation, all meals during the program, plus partial or full travel reimbursement (depending on where you are traveling from, and we will share further details with the shortlisted applicants)!

Important note: Due to short notice/visa timeline limits, you must be a resident of an EU/EEA country or not require a visa to enter Norway. ❗️

To apply and learn more about the program you will be volunteering for, check the link in our bio.

Apply by the end of day, July 26th, and if you have any questions, send us an email at [email protected]

We can’t wait to welcome you to the team! ✨

🌍 What an inspiring journey it has been lately! We feel incredibly grateful to take part in meaningful experiences that bring people together, and one of those unforgettable moments was the HEAL Training Course in beautiful Sardinia, Italy 🇮🇹

From May 19–25, our participants joined “HEAL” (Harmony, Empowerment, Adaptability, Link), an Erasmus+ Training Course coordinated and organized by . The project gathered youth workers from 9 different European countries with one shared goal: turning diversity into strength and creating more inclusive, empowering spaces for young people ✨

Throughout the experience, participants had the chance to explore non-formal education tools, peer education methods, and new strategies for supporting young people with fewer opportunities. It was a week filled with learning, connection, collaboration, and unforgettable cultural exchange 💫

A huge thank you to Associazione in Sardinia for their warm welcome, dedication, and incredible effort in creating such a meaningful project ❤️

Special thanks to Lois, Lola, and Tasnim for being part of this beautiful experience 🌍💛 We hope this journey brought you new perspectives, lifelong memories, and inspiration for the future! ✨️

📣 Open Call for Global Participants 📣 (whereever you come from, you are welcome to apply)!

Apply now to join our upcoming Art Residency Program in Koppang, Norway from 26 to 31 of August, 2026! 🇳🇴

This is a 6-day immersive mental health journey for youth workers, mentors, and creatives who are ready to explore the intersection of mental health and artistic expression, focusing on Art Therapy and Theatre of the Oppressed as methods for personal development and social change.

This art residency experience will be located in a rural village in Norway and you will be hosted in a traditional former-farm house, which is a farm and home for about 100 Angus cows in Koppang. This program is an open and creative space where we will use art, theater, movement and music as a bridge to the parts of ourselves that are often hard to express.

This residency offers a “double shot” of impact: it is a dedicated time for your own personal and emotional exploration, while simultaneously providing you with inspiration and methods to transfer these practices back to your work with youth and community initiatives.

If you are interested to learn more and apply to join us this summer in Norway, you can check the link in our bio now and apply. We have limited spots!

Any questions? reach out to us at [email protected]

We look forward to receiving your application and hopefully have you as part of this journey in Norway this summer 🇳🇴

Unbelievably grateful! 🙌🏼

After all the hard work to make this certification program a reality, it actually happened 👀

We can say this was one of the most open, wonderful, flexible groups we have ever worked with and until now we can’t express how grateful we are in words! Thank you for all for making it so special to work and learn together in this week journey, more than we could even expect, specially from one another! 💛☀️

Yes, the certification program was short in duration but so rich in learning that as we all agreed, it felt like months not just a few days as usual 😁. We are so grateful for each one of you, for the challenges, the joy, the laughs, and the growth we experienced together.

We are excited to see where you all go next as inspiring facilitators to promote mental health and wellbeing through your artistic approaches, making an impact on the world through your initiatives, projects, and most importantly, yourselves.

Facilitation is a powerful and beautiful tool that we believe is very essential for humans personally and professionally (we, at Yellow vs. Blue, don’t even know how life could happen without facilitation) and we are so glad and proud we managed to make another ‘Facilitation Tactics’ round happen to bring it to more beautiful people.

Thank you 💛

“One of the most powerful moments was performing the Theatre of the Oppressed, it wasn’t just acting, it was reliving our experiences, facing our fears, and finding a way to push through them” 🎭

For Rehab, this was her first time traveling, and it became one of the most important experiences of her year in 2024.

Through the program, she used art to understand her own emotions, experiences and deal with them in a different way.

Now, after 2 years, we reflect back on her experience and how she took this back to Tunisia, using painting to support healing and create space for connection.💙

Thank you Rihab, we miss you a lot! 🤍

How many times have we tried to “talk” our way through a feeling, only to end up stuck in our own heads? 🌀

Most of us are taught to learn through listening, reading, and analysing, etc.. But emotional intelligence is a muscle. That’s why we got bored of the desks and the “small talk” and started to use a stage instead :)

In YvB programs, we don’t intend to ‘train’ actors, and put on a show, but we really intend and LOVE to use theatre as a playground to figure out who we actually are when the pressure is on. 🎭

So, as we always say, in our sessions, there’s no “right” way to perform. We just get into role-plays and real-life scenarios that let you youth actually feel the situation instead of just describing it. We would say it is like the difference between reading a map and walking the trail. (we learn by doing).

By stepping into that, we get to test/drive our reactions and we also get to see how it feels to set a boundary, how our bodies react to conflict, and how much space you’re allowed to take up.

We are really excited for our next program journey in 10 days for Facilitation Tactics in Matsevani, Georgia to train a new group of arising facilitators to be able to promote mental health and wellbeing through art.

Stay tuned to learn more about our methods and updates from the program as well (oh and stories from previous participants) 💛

Our team just got a whole lot more fun! 🎉

Meet and welcome our newest volunteers joining the Yellow vs. Blue family, Sude, Aya and Marina! 🙌

Sude is our chocolate enthusiast 🍫, Aya is the ‘only human alive’ who says no to cheese ‘we guess’? 🧀 (we’re still processing this), and Marina? If excitement was a person, it’s absolutely her ⚡

We are SO excited to have them on board and can’t wait to see the results of everything we are already creating together! We are also so grateful for the energy our weekly meetings bring!

Welcome to the team, you three! 💛
